Absolutely Appalling Results.
Awful results. Absolutely ruined my face and eyes. I literally could not participate in my life for 18 months post op until my face had at least vaguely begun to return to some sort of 'normal'.
One cheek is dented and pulled by the inner stitching where it wasn't before and the cheek is now completely different to the other. One eye was stitched way too far above the eye socket leaving a huge visible scar, which has caused a very high false eye socket indentation, which in turn has pulled the eye much wider open than the other giving the impression of a googly lazy drooping eye. I look like Frankenstein's wife. My eyes were literally stitched completely differently, which Waterhouse denied even while looking at the post op photographs where clearly one side was stitched 4 mm higher than the other, which on an eyelid is a huge difference. He then said he "couldn't see the eye socket under the skin" to make the incision. That is seriously what he said. A cosmetic surgeon. He also talked me into under eye fat transfer, which left me with two deep semi-circles of saggy skin quite far below each eye and into my cheeks. When I expressed concern at these two new saggy bits of skin hanging down he shrugged and said it must be my skin. Seriously, he actually said that too. With no accountability or suggestions for a resolution.
What really hurts about all of this is that he took absolutely no responsibility whatsoever for any of this mess. He simply sends you on your way in a haze of denial and moves onto the next poor soul.
I can not emphasise enough how the truly terrible results and the whole experience with this surgeon has negatively impacted my life and wellbeing. I have literally lost 18 months of my life and suffered more than I can say as a result of putting my faith in all the marketing, hype and over-confidence. I had no idea that the surgeons actually PAY to go on the Top Surgeons List in the glossy magazines.
I have since met two other women who have had similar experiences to mine with this surgeon. How I wish I had known before I paid such a huge amount of money and undergone such a fiasco, which is the only reason I am writing this review. My hope is that those reading it can make a fully informed decision. I have no idea how there are any positive reviews for Norman Waterhouse on this page.
