Didn't Address my Issues
I went to Dr. Collins for a rejuvenation consult. (FYI-Her consults are $200 which can be applied to any treatment or procedure should a patient decide to move forward).
I came to her to lift and reduce movement in areas of my face that have been bothering me for quite a while and is all I can see every time I look in the mirror. I told her exactly my concerns in detail and asked questions about procedures to address them. In general, age related heaviness in my jawline and lower face, the wrinkles that form on my forehead when I raise my eyebrows, and my profile that has started to look droopy and tired. She made the recommendation of filler and botox and said these were very easy to fix with a liquid lift - no need for surgery and I was not a candidate for a surgery. That was both great news to hear and at the same time it would be a very hefty investment for a temporary fix that I'd have to maintain. But after thinking about it, I decided try it and least have some time feeling good and confident on Zoom calls and when I look in the mirror. I trusted that she had my best interest in heart.
Dr. Collins manner is very kind and warm. She took time to explain her strategy and reasoning for how the treatments work. I got a liquid brow lift and she injected filler 5 syringes of filler in my head to create volume, like a balloon, which in turn was supposed to give me the lift. Mid-treatment, she recommended I put some filler in my cheekbones to help balance the heaviness my jawline which would give the illusion of a lifted appearance that I was going for. I said ok, if she thought it would help produce the best outcome.
There was no lift. Nothing. Not my face and not my brow not my jawline. The wrinkles on my forehead that form when I lift my eyebrows that really bother me were not touched but "crows feet " got botox to help with the brow lift that didn't work. (I don't really have crows feet). All that filler injected in my head did nothing to lift and address what I came in for. The botox must not have been injected deep enough to reach the muscle (is that a thing?) as there was to no effect. My cheekbones look nice but again, I didn't come in for cheekbone enhancement and most importantly, it didn't address why I was there. I had better result from a med spa a few years ago at a fraction of the price.
I understand her strategy and reasoning behind everything she did. I'm not a doctor but her strategy seemed to make sense and she seems very trustworthy. I chose to go with her because of her reviews and that produces natural looking results. I don't want to look fake but I do want results. The bottom line is that she did not do what she said she could do and I'm out thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it. Super disappointing. I writing this review to help others make informed decisions.
