Disappointed
My previously posts rave for my chosen cosmetic surgeon and unfortunately, I now must rescind it. First, let me say that the staff is extremely kind - including the nurses. However, I would no longer recommend this doctor because of the results and aftercare.
I had surgery June 16th which makes me 10 weeks post op. I paid $15.3K for “high volume” lipo of my abdomen, bra rolls, lower back and flanks. I was 5’10 and 277lbs the day or surgery which another surgeon informed me placed my life at risk. Outside of the doctor pushing me to exercise 2 weeks post op at my follow up, I have had complications with healing (my wounds under my breasts and sides were too deep and are just healing properly now after care from my Primary Doctor) and I have no medical conditions that would otherwise cause this. My body looks about the same as it did the day I went in for surgery only now I have a donut shape about my abdomen surrounding my belly button and this whole process has now made me very angry and cost me a large amount of money. It doesn’t look like my back was touched AT ALL. The doctor also took it upon himself to lipo the mound of my vagina after being told several times that I did not want it done. I have compared my before and after photos so I know I’m not being irrational as far as my results and those he displays in person and online or previous patients with way larger bodies than my own. I have not gained any weight in these last few weeks either.
I would caution you when using this surgeon. I unfortunately paid $6K in cash, but will be reaching out to Care Credit to find out my options for a refund of the remaining balance. Google Reviews have some hidden that express their displeasure at the process, as well. My advice? Take your money elsewhere. My friends have had much better results at cheaper price tags with Mia Aesthetics in Vegas and Miami and Jolie in Miami. I hate to say it, but I’ll be back after losing some weight and another round of liposuction.

Still Healing
No one tells you about the itching/burning/tingling sensation you get while healing. It’s something serious. Between that, body stiffness, hardening, and the headaches, I’ve just taken it one day at a time.
I’ve lost 20lbs since the day of my surgery!
I’m constantly thirsty!
Certain foods make me sick out of nowhere.
I really don’t like the body garment given to me (it caused the bottom of my stomach and love handles to harden seriously, you may be able to tell from the pictures). And the hardening hurts like a MF. Massaging alone doesn’t fix it. I randomly decided to start wearing an old waist trainer and it helps tremendously! Made my body softer but it also started pushing fluid out one of my side wounds (they open easily even 2 weeks later, [have to be careful, ladies!]).
I’ve included pictures of my body now. If I can get these love handles and my lower stomach to remain soft and mild right, I’ll be happy!

Day 4
After having my drains removed, I’ve been more dizzy and nauseous than I should be. I’ve managed to get into my bed, but I’m still suffering from uncomfortableness. I tried taking a pain pill after having them removed Friday and yesterday and ended up with severe headaches so I’ll be tossing them out. They did not help me at all. I can feel the dehydration even though all I do is drink water all day. A friend recommended Liquid IV and it has allowed me to move past it enough today to sleep for maybe three hours. I’ve not slept properly since the morning of the procedure.
I have bruises EVERYWHERE and though feeling is returning in spurts, it’s horrible – like someone is jabbing me with the tip of a very sharp knife. I’ve started trying to massage gently through my garment but my sides pain me the most. Work through it because you definitely feel the hardening under the skin at this point.
So what have I learned? I will NEVER have lipo on my abdomen or back again. Maybe any other area, too. I have made it through this without the pain pills, the days I took one each weren’t of any real assistance if I’m honest. Warm shower water is heaven, but you have to be careful because being enclosed will make you dizzier than you initially feel. I have serious trouble eating and focusing myself. If I don’t take my antibiotics on time, I get a slight fever. The wort pain is in my lower back and stomach. I pee entirely too much which is horrible because unsnapping the garment the doctor gave me isn’t easy from between my legs and bending is horrible if I’m swelling. I found an alternative online that I hope helps much more and should be easier to use.
Can I see a noticeable difference? Yes. I am retaining a ton of fluid and swollen more than not. Taking it easy is definitely my recommendation and I’m glad I don’t go back to work until the end of July.
