Lip augmentation, subtle with restylane silk
WORTH IT$850
Recommend if you want something subtle! I wanted a subtle increase in my lip volume without changing my natural lip shape. I told my Dr. I’d rather not notice a difference than it be too much. He recommended Restylane silk via a canula. He would add a little, then show me in the mirror, so we could stop when I felt it was enough volume. He used almost one full syringe, about 85%.
The results were exactly what I wanted and the swelling was minimal. I iced like crazy, slept a little propped up, and did everything I could to avoid swelling.
The procedure itself was pretty painful when he had to get the canula to go through the compartments of my lip, but nothing too crazy. I would do it again.
Not one person commented on noticing a change in my lips. I got comments about how I looked great, but no one could put their finger on what was different. Was it my hair? A new blush? Exactly what I was going for.
I had some lumps that I could feel in my lips that went away over time. They were never visible lumps.
The first week after the procedure I had minor numbness in my upper left lip that went away on its own.
I was very nervous and read real self reviews non stop as I was recovering, so wanted to share my experience with you all too!
I panicked when I was swollen that I had made a huge mistake. Even though swelling is expected and I knew it would go away, it’s still my face so it was scary.
I had the procedure may 11 at 4pm
That evening my lips swelled
The morning of may 12 was peak swelling
That evening swelling was already reduced dramatically.
May 13 I felt comfortable to go out to dinner and take pics and that no one who didn’t know me would notice anything. Someone who knew me may have noticed swelling at this point still.
May 14 swelling was 90% gone, I went back to work, no one noticed anything.
By the end of that week the swelling was completely gone.
