I have been on this site non stop for the past 2 months so I thought it was time to start my review. I am getting a full tummy tuck with a breast lift and augmentation. My surgery is scheduled for March 28 which is only 10 days away!! I am so nervous/excited . I Had my consultation February 13 with Dr. Cannova and decided to schedule right away. I really like him and from what I have seen I really like his work so I am trusting he will make me look fantastic :) A little bit about my self I am 5'7, 160lb, and 20 years old. My husband and I were high school sweet hearts. We have been together since I was 15

I was originally scheduled for a Mommy Makeover with him on 4/18. I had to postpone to 5/16 since I have to get my right side inguinial hernia fixed.. Good Luck!!! Did you see his before/afters online or at the office?

Hi! Oooh this is rough! But I keep telling myself it's for the better! I'm a control freak and it's hard for me to let my Mom and hubby help me! I feel bad I've been very snippy and rude :( I keep apologizing!

I'm sorry I haven't updated things have been crazy here. I went in for surgery march 28 at 6:00am and woke up 12:00pm. Waking up was rough especially because of my nurse! I was draining red liquid from my back where I received lipo and my nurse decided to flip me on my stomach to see what it was...I have to say that was the most painful moment of my life. Besides that everything went great I was pretty out of it from the pain meds and slept the whole way home which is a 2hr drive. We flew my mother in law in for a week and my husband took 3 weeks of leave. I have to say having them here was awesome! You really don't need someone there for 3 weeks but it was just nice to take my time recovering. The first week was pretty hard. I didn't realize how much I really used my abs. I slept in my bed the whole time I just used a bunch of pillows. Getting in bed was really hard for me. I got a routine down for getting in and out of bed which really helped. I wrote a list last time I posted the only thing I really used was an occasional bandaid or small gauze pad. From my experience I wouldn't buy much. I know before I had my surgery I was really nervous about the pain I thought it would be much worse then what it was. The first 5 days were bad I couldn't walk because I had a terrible burning pain. i also couldn't take a shower and just didn't want to move. It was crazy day 6 I woke up and felt like a totally different person I could move around I took a shower and felt fine. I also stopped taking my pain meds. my first bm was horrible make sure you take some stool softeners! I didn't get my drain out till day 13 getting it out didn't hurt at all I couldn't feel a thing. Something's that have bothered me are my doctor used dissolvable staples and some of them don't want to dissolve. he has removed three so far and there are a couple on my tummy tuck incision that are trying to poke out. Each week has gotten easier once I hit the three week mark I didnt have any pain and started walking about two miles a day. I wish I would have wrote my post earlier because I can't remember much it's kind of like child birth you for get the pain. I can say that I would do this all over again. I am so happy with my results I feel so much better about my self! No money can amount to how I feel I have been more intimate with my husband and don't feel like I need to hide. Bottom line this surgery has changed my life for the better! I also can say I love my doctor he has been so great! If you live in the kc area I recommend dr. cannova.
