9 weeks post op and exercising plus scar therapy

I'm about a full week or so back in the gym. I'm feeling a little more toned but my weight has been yo yoing because of gatherings. Getting ready to move cross country and friends want to get together for drinks and making my weight stagnant. So frustrating because I really need to lose weight around my legs, back, and hips so it can match my tummy which I'm really happy with. I think I'm done with cocktailing for a bit to get really healthy. A few months off of not drinking after surgery, I hate the way it makes me drag for days on. I really want to get back on a health kick and enjoy my summer boating at my new home in Florida. Leaving in a few weeks. Yay. I was concerned with my scar looking worse even after starting embrace but the doctor said at the 2 month post surgery, your scar will be at its reddest and then fade throughout the year. Ah thank god because I thought I did something to my scar to make it worse. Anyway I started my 4th round of embrace and I guess it's working ok. I don't know how my scar would have looked without it but right now I'm not liking how red it is but again, according to the doctor it should fade. Here are my updates 9 week photos and embrace therapy.

8 week post op morning pic

Ok so some of it was swelling yesterday at end of the day. Belly sure does look better in morning 8 weeks post op

2 months post op

Yesterday I finally felt good enough to go to the gym for the first time in 8 weeks. I'm really frustrated with myself because I look like I gained weight. In fact I know I have because my bathing suit fits tighter around my hips from 4 weeks post op vs 8 weeks post op. However my scale is only up 1 pound. I was working out consistently for 8 months prior to surgery so I had a lot of muscle tone. Well I think what muscle I had turned to fat so from 4 to 8 weeks, I hate my hips. So frustrating. Well I'm back on the band wagon of working out again but already have to take a break because I'm so sore I can barely walk. lol the joys of first day back muscle soreness. I also too this pic toward the day vs the morning so evening swelling is partly to blame. I'm becoming more comfortable not wearing my compression garments. It used to hurt my belly not going without any compression. Now I go on about my day without one but continue to wear it in the evening. I still swell but it no longer hurts. I still feel tender in my lower abs. I went through 3 embrace scar therapy treatments so far. My right side part of the scar seems to be healing faster than my left side. It's still bumpy on the left and I feel my scar is laying flat on the right. I had to take a break from the scar therapy because after my 3rd round I developed a rash. I'll go in sometime next week for another round. Anyway. Here are some pictures 4weeks vs 8weeks and 2 months and 3 rounds of embrace.

Dr. Hankins did such a great job and so glad I chose him for my surgery and his sidekick nurse Bambi is amazing., My only complaint is some if his nursing staff is not good on calling you back if you have a concern post op. Learned my lesson not to even bother calling anyone else for a question other than texting Bambi.
