How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Abusive & Not Very Bright Office Staff
For many years, I have been a patient of Dr. Rueckl for my skincare and he has been nice enough. A few times things have gone wrong and he has tried to rectify situation. One problem is a scar that was left from a procedure on the delicate décolleté area. As a result, when getting photos facials the technician has been instructed to also use another treatment to lesson the scaring, Genesis.
But this is not the reason, for this review; the front reception staff of his medical facility (not the spa) are and always have been unequivocally rude and on top of it not the brightest, with seemingly little more ambition in life than getting free skincare with a chip on their shoulder for the rest of us that pay for services. It is has been tolerated simply because of Dr. Rueckl has been kind and although everything has not gone perfectly, he has attempted to do what is possibe to fix the problem. But there is always this uncomfortable feeling dealing with front office receptionists before and after seeing doctor, always happy to leave, which shouldn't be the case. There's a strange vibe in their office that is difficult to explain.
This last incident was just outrageous... The front office staff tried to turn a situation around and say that it was I who was being unreasonable, that Dr. Rueckle had heard the call and my money would be returned and that I should not. The reason for my call was because always a certain strength is used on photo facials and this last time it was not, was only told about this after, that it was due to it still being summertime. Dr. Rueckl had instructed technicians to use less strength during summer. Had I know this, I would have waited for fall because I did not see any freckling of dark sun spots like usual, no result at all and feel like I had wasted my money. It cost $225 and there were no visible results.
The front desk girl was not only too familiar with me, calling me by my first name repeatedly, interupting me, showing a comlete lack of respect but brought up the fact chart also showed I had Genesis (not knowing it had been prescribed for the scar that was left from Dr. Rueckl's procedure) and basically told me I should be grateful, it was only a few levels lowers and have no reason to complain. (This is the only thing Dr. Rueckle could have heard because I could not get a word in edge wise.) She hung-up on me, saying the conversation was over, and that the spa would call me. But, I had already spoken to spa. My point was I should have been made aware of this, that the expectation of what the procedure would do (remove sunspots) at the usual level, would be done and wasn't. My skin is very receptive if done at the expected level.
Most reputable businesses appreciate feedback to make them better but not here. The front desk receptionist, hung-up phone on me and when I tried to call back to speak to office manager they refused to answer phone, had to call on a different line and that person was no better instead accused me of bullying for bringing up my concern that my money had been wasted. If they would treat a patient of over a decade in this manner they will do it to anyone.
