WORTH IT
It has now been 4 months since surgery and feeling great. I think my labia have continued to “tighten” as the appearance is a bit more streamline now. I love it. I have been having sex regularly since 10 weeks post-op and there have been no issues at all! My partner loves it & I love it & everything is fantastic. There was a bit of spot bleeding the first couple of times but other than that I have been having more frequent and intense orgasms which is unexpectedly wonderful! Couldn’t be happier with everything. Literally the only thing that isn’t “perfect” right now is I still have a cm or 2 of hardened scarring on one side of my clitoral hood reduction area, it feels like it is softening over time but very very slowly. :)

Thanks Taya! It’s crazy how much it changes over time and how its not that noticeable until you compare new and older photos :)

So happy to hear that your surgery has only had pleasurable / positive effects on your sensitivity!
This is one of my biggest fears as i look towards my own op this year as you often hear the reverse! Amazing transformation, keep us updated )

5.5 week update

I’m now 38 days post-surgery, almost at the 6 week mark!!!!. Visually I still look the same as my last update - a bit swollen with little bumps along the suture lines. I’m healing well as the itchiness keeps improving. However I must say that while the itchiness is very infrequent, when it does come it is INTENSE! It’s as if I am being tickled from the inside. I think it’s because my stitches are dissolving and my body is rejecting them and they have been poking through my skin. it’s a similar feeling to when you have itchy hair regrowth in the area - but these “hairs” are thicker so are much more irritating.

I should mention here that 1 week ago I had a very sore “pimple” near my clitoral hood (P.S. I had a clitoral hood reduction as well as a labiaplasty). It felt kind of like a pimple, only much worse - at its worst I couldn’t even touch the area. One morning I got woken up from the pain and when I had a look, my ENTIRE vulva region was bright red. So I was worried it was an infection. I called Dr Choy and luckily he answered (even though it was a public holiday!) and texted me a prescription for antibiotics straight away, just as a precaution. I took the antibiotics and also applied antiseptic liquid three times a day, and it completely resolved after a day or two (it ended up “popping” and oozing a bit). After seeing Dr Choy we realised it probably wasn’t an infection but just my body reacting to a stitch being rejected, which can sometimes happen, and creates a “pimple” - and the reason why it was so sore was simply because it was right near my clitoris! So that’s something I thought I’d share for others to be aware of - there’s no reason to panic. :)

I can’t wait to exercise again but am being so patient. It can be hard sometimes not being able to run/skip/orgasm - I’ve had a couple of moments where I ate too much sugary stuff and the energy and agitation was very frustrating not being able to work it off. I’m trying to eat really light and clean so that I don’t have too much energy to burn. I really recommend for others to be really mindful of what you eat as I think putting on weight would only add to the burden of the recovery.

Update - Day 19 post surgery

sallyj1288
Itching has decreased now which is great. Still at times it can be very irritating. Healing is going well. I am no longer waking in the middle of the night with itching or stinging and I haven’t needed to use icepacks this week which is great.
