Labiaplasty and Clitoral Hood Reduction
I went through multiple doctors who did not seem confident in clitoral hood reductions and I was afraid of having results that left the clitoral hood/top area of my labia being visibly longer than the rest. The photos of Dr. Medalie’s work was the appearance I wanted and I’m very happy with how it turned out. He was very friendly during the procedure and got me in on short notice when I was nervous my stitches were separating (they werent).
The surgery was completely worth it but the recovery was much worse than I expected. The swelling needed iced around the clock or would get very bad and I stayed on my back for a week. The first week it looked like i could see the two halves of my labia separating and I was scared to walk for fear the stitches wouldnt hold up against the pressure. It was recommended I could return to work/school after a week but day seven I still couldnt walk with out an obvious limp and pain. Day 10 was when I could go out and walk somewhat normal. I couldnt have intercourse without swelling for probably six weeks. For anyone going through recovery dont psych yourself out as much as I did because I ended up healing fine and Dr. Medalie even said to try not to look at it the first week when its scary looking. You can also always contact the nurse for concerns which was comforting and I was able to email her pictures to be sure it was healing as expected to help me relax. Id definitely recommend him for a labiaplasty procedure.
