Kybella review
I’ve always been self conscious about my double chin and how it looked in pictures, I was researching non surgical ways to get rid of a double chin and came across Kybella! I got my first session done about five days ago. What they first did was apply a numbing cream and let that sit for about 15 minutes. After the cream, the doctor injected me with more numbing. To be honest - that was the painful part of the entire Kybella treatment. I could definitely feel those needles probably because the needles were long & thick, but it isn’t anything intolerable. After the numbing injections he let me sit again and wait for about 10 minutes. Then they placed the “temporary tattoo” under my chin (the little dots that guide the doctor on where to inject). Those needles were SO tiny and of course I was pretty numb, I felt nothing and the actual Kybella treatment took less than five minutes. Immediately after the procedure I had a little swelling, and they provided me with an ice pack to help reduce the swelling. I have read many Kybella reviews where they say the next day they look like a bull frog - luckily for me I was swollen but not to the point where it looked like a “bull frog”. The swelling has reduced a lot to the point where I don’t think people would notice unless they were looking for a long time/know me. It’s day five since the first procedure and the numbing has reduced (it was originally numb over my entire neck) but the center of my chin is now the only region that is still numb. I am now starting to feel a little soreness and when I press on my chin I can feel a few lumps, I have been told that this is when the fat cells are dying and will soon go away. I bruise pretty easily so it wasn’t a surprise when I saw a light green bruising all around my neck - but that’s nothing a little makeup or scarf can’t fix! Overall I’m happy with the procedure and can’t wait to start seeing results!
