Kybella is a scam

* THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT KYBELLA ONLY. NOT THE PROVIDER*
I am post 3 Kybella treatments (my last treatment was 7 months ago) and I will not do anymore. Ever.
Kybella is the biggest scam going. Providers have you coming and going with this treatment. How the FDA can approve this product for moderate/severe submental fat is beyond me. My treatments have produced no noticeable results. I may need more treatments but I absolutely refuse to spend anymore money on this product for fear I will be in deeper financially with no results. The treatments have SIGNIFICANT down time and are not cheap. Save yourself the aggravation and get chin lipo. At least lipo is guaranteed results (in most cases) and its a one time thing (if done properly). That's were I'm heading after being $2,500 into this when I should have just done the lipo in the first place. I could have saved myself a lot of money, time and aggravation. I would advise against getting this treatment unless you have very little fat. But be warned about the downtime.
Thank you Allergan for absolutely nothing but a hole in my wallet.

I have had a similar experience, but my doctor talked me into going on to the 4th session. Four months after my 3rd session, I saw a difference (but I had also lost 7 pounds). I only continued with Kybella because my doctor helped me out on the price.

A different doctor, my general practitioner (who does Botox, fillers, etc.) said Kybella only works on certain anatomy types. She said Kybella will not work on over 25% of the population. That is a crap shoot!

anon20000, if i had known that Kybella will not work on over 25% of the population, I probably wouldn't have done it. I don't want to shell out any more money for these treatments if there is no guarantee its going to work. I should have just done the lipo. What a waste! Thanks for the info on your experience.

My plastic surgeon just told me that he had cut, and cut, and cut out scar tissue before he could do my neck lift. 5 rounds of Kybella did a number to me on the inside! ;-(

Omg!!! I wondered about this. That is horrible! Thank you for sharing this valuable information. Let me know how your neck lift turns out.

I did one round myself with 4 bails for $1200 and saw zero change. I know I was supposed to go back for more than one round but after wasting all that money I realized I will not waste more. Not worth the risk of it not working.

It's a crap shoot! Even if you did go for a 2nd treatment, you MAY OR MAY NOT see results! That's the scary part! And then you would have spent $2400 for what? I think it's a money making scam. It's supposed to be an ALTERNATIVE to surgery. The price should reflect this!
