Mini Facelift for 41 year old female

ORIGINAL POST

For the past couple of years I've noticed my face...

WORTH IT
For the past couple of years I've noticed my face becoming more squarish and less heart shaped. I don't have a lot of sagging or loose skin yet, but I'm not happy with the more masculine shape my face is morphing into. I'm scheduled for a mini facelift on December 1st. I will also have lipo under my chin and around my jaw line.

I've considered this for a long time. I've had various fillers with various levels of satisfaction. At this point it just seems like fillers are a waste of money, especially since they have not given me te results I want. So, after multiple consultations I've decided to go for it. I'm so excited, yet unbelievably nervous.

You are doing a great job showing us your progress. You look great! Keep us posted :)

Thanks love. I'm pleased with the results so far

Love you results. Did you get something done around your eyes as well? I am getting lower face and neck next Monday with Co2 laser under my eye and dot to dot laser over face and neck as well. Under chin liposuction from what I heard is standard as the scarring from it helps to support the tissue under the neck. I am glad to read a review from a younger woman. I am 46 now and decided to get it now rather later :)

I did not get anything done to my eyes but I need to. My under eye hollows are quite bad. Fillers don't seem to help. I'm leaning toward fat grafting, but I'm not sure. Let me know how the co2 laser goes. I've been considering doing it myself.

I have seen pictures of fat grafting at one Dr's office and didn't like the results. The faces appeared swollen, so it wasn't a good look. For hollowness under the eyes might be an idea.I will post pics etc as well once I am done and report the progress.

I have had the CO2 Laser on Jan 16th around eyes and neck. Around eyes it is still pink (all new skin) and still slightly swollen. It was weeping, peeling, itchy, but all should be that way. My surgeon said he would be disappointed if it wouldn't look like that. I feel once it all settled I will have good results. Will do my whole review in about a month once all is settled from lower face and neck lift too. So far so good :)

Looks awesome! I, too, am young and am considering this. Would you mind sharing his price? Happy for you!! X

Hi, love the results. Are you still happy with them and also who did the lift for you? I'm 44 and considering it, had fillers and skin tightening but still have jowls
February 22, 2017
Hi, yes I still love my results. I also did fillers, but none of them gave me the results I wanted. Surgery was the only thing that truly tightened my lower face and lifted things back up to where I wanted them. My surgery was done at Kansas City Surgical Arts in Kansas City, MO. My docs name is listed above.

Thank you. I need to find a surgeon in uk that can produce results you have x

Two days to go!!!

I got all my scripts (antibiotics, painkillers and such) and supplies today. I bought arnica gel and tablets. Hopefully that will keep me from bruising too bad. I also bought a travel pillow to help me sleep on my back. I think I'm good to go!

Hang in there. We are in this war against aging together. The swelling is a little scary, and I must have looked in the mirror much too often during those days; however, it's worth it. Just remember, you can do this! Just get past this part, and you come out ready to take on the world.

xo Thank you. Consider it a sisterhood of hope and new beginnings. If you are ever feeling down, keep in mind that 2017 is YOUR year! You can do anything. You've made it! Rest, watch Hallmark Christmas movies, and forget about taking care of anyone except you. My thoughts are with you. I can't wait to see your after pic soon.

Following your posts! I have this procedure scheduled on December 15th. I'm excited and nervous. Will be interested in hearing about your recovery and seeing your results. Sending healing thoughts!

Thanks love! I was so nervous for my surgery, but it's been much easier than I imagined. The first 2 days are kind of rough, but after that it gets easier.

I recommend having some soft foods in hand- soup, pudding, ice cream and such. I didn't realize how hard it would be to eat the first few days, lol.

I'll be sending some good vibes your way on the 15th!

Mummified and on the other side

32kkbrown
Well it's all done. I had my surgery at 8:00am. Everything went smoothly and now I'm home. I'm so happy to have it over with. Now, I just need to concentrate on healing and recuperating. I had general anesthesia, so I can't really say what the process was like, as I slept through the whole procedure.

Right now still feel really groggy and nauseous from the general anesthesia, but I'm not in pain, my ears do feel a bit tender, but not painful. I'll go back tomorrow to get the mummy wrap off. I can't wait to see what's going on underneath all this wrapping.
