How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Toxin and filler artistry always impresses
tl;dr - Dr. Gillespie is amazing on a number of levels and is likely the only person I'll continue to trust to do my (increasingly expansive as I age) cosmetic work.
The long of it is:
I always poopoo-ed cosmetic procedures and assumed the only option was to look like Janice Dickinson but then I got "old" and thought what the hell.
I've gone to a handful of providers for toxin and fillers, both physician and medi-spa. I aim for a natural-ish/facetuned look...nothing too extreme. I don’t want people to look at me and think “wow, who’s her surgeon”. I want people to look and think “great genes!” (Although I am 100% transparent with the work I get done when people do comment). Fillers and toxin to make my makeup contouring work better! The way that I look better with Spanx.
Anyways, Dr. Gillespie is amazing. I met him over a year ago with the intent of seeing him solely for a mole removal but now I regularly see him for: toxin in my forehead/glabella/crows feet; toxin in my chin; filler for my cheeks/lips/tear troughs/jaw (and I also had an in-office chin/neck Smart Lipo procedure performed).
Working in healthcare, I'm all too familiar with the off-putting god complexes that usually accompany surgeons. On the flip side, while the medi-spa market can often be "friendlier", I have been disappointed in the lack of consistency, expertise, and holistic knowledge-base that I've found with providers practicing in a “spa” setting.
Dr. Gillespie is a welcomed calm and kind artist in the middle of all of this. Separately, he does amazing work to help people get back to their normal lives (eg: breast reconstruction after cancer, skin grafts after injury, delicate facial wound closures, etc). Admittedly, I take advantage of his skills for purely vain reasons.
Whenever I see him, I'm never made to feel rushed by him nor the office staff; everyone is exceedingly kind.
His patience is also unparalleled - I recognize that my obsession over literal millimeters of cheek volume is objectively silly but Dr. Gillespie never makes me feel that way. He always openly listens to my concerns and treatment suggestions (because I googled something!) and gently discusses options/pros/cons.
I’ll also offer that his injection technique is inspiring. At a medi-spa I had a topical, lidocaine injection, AND a dental block and my lip filling was STILL super uncomfortable. First time with Dr. Gillespie, no analgesia (not even a topical), and I was LESS uncomfortable than I was at the medi-spa.
It’s with zero reservation or caveat that I recommend Dr. Gillespie. And I intend to reach out to him for more invasive cosmetic procedures.
