Touch up!
WORTH IT$545
It’s been about a year since I’ve had my 2nd syringe and I was really shocked at how well the Vollure held up. I went back in because I started to notice a little bit that my bottom lip wasn’t as plump and we did a 3rd syringe to touch up. About 20% of the syringe was used on my top lip and 80% used on my bottom. Dr. Heck always is so fun to visit and always does such a good job!
Since this is my 3rd syringe I’ve had in a year and a half I definitely will go a while before getting any more because I like a more natural look and don’t want my lips to look over filled. Right now I think the results look great!
Tip: use arnica tablets and gel! When I use arnica tablets before and gel afterwards I’ve noticed the bruising is significantly less than the time I didn’t use it. They still are swollen a bit but that’s normal and can take a week or so to really settle.

Did Amazing Job at Fixing my Lips
Previously I had gone into CAPS in January for a lip filler and initially got paired with Dr. Wakelin for a consultation for lip filler. He decided Juvederm Vollure XC filler for my lips and the whole process was very quick. I wasn't that pleased with them but was happy to have a bigger bottom lip so at first I was happy. But really my results were sub-par. I bruised so badly due to the location of where he injected the filler, Dr. Wakelin said lip fillers hardly ever "lump up" which was a concern of mine but I had several lumps and my bottom lip was uneven. Another concern was that after my initial filler I had a mucous cyst on the inside of my bottom lip.
I went in for a consultation for Dr. Heck and while I was there I asked his opinion on the matter and asked for him to take a look. At this point it had been 6 months since my initial filler injection and he agreed that my bottom lip was uneven and he was more than happy to help fix my asymmetry.
We used Juvederm Vollure again and he took his time placing the filler and explaining to me the whole time why he was placing the filler in certain places and asking first to fill certain spots that he noticed were flat that I hadn't noticed. The whole experience with Dr. Heck was a lot better in my opinion. It didn't hurt as bad, and I also took arnica tablets before and used arnica gel to help with bruising which also made a huge difference. Afterward, I use Aquaphor both times to help keep lips moisturized after filler which helps a ton.
In the appearance of my lips, it has been a little over a month and they are now symmetrical, no lumps or pain like I had before and I receive compliments all the time. I highly suggest going to Dr. Heck for lip fillers if you are considering a doctor in Columbus!

Wow they look amazing!!! Such an improvement. I just had a similar situation happen to me after my first filler experience, but got a touch up today from a different injector and they already look much better. How many ML did you use in the first and second session?

Thank you! I had 1mL the first and second time each so 2 full syringes total! I’m at my desired goal so I’ll just go back for touch ups here and there.

Nice!! It seems it takes at least 2 procedures (and between 1.5 - 2ML) to really perfect the shape/size before returning for just touch ups.

Top lip still looks crooked and overfilled. Maybe its makeup?

Yes my problem before, and why I went was because my top lip has always been bigger than my bottom lip. My top lip only has a little bit of filler from my first session back in January. The bottom lip has most of the filler. Our plan is to slowly fill the bottom lip to match the top.

And as you can read, after my first trip my lips were pretty uneven, which is why I went to a different doctor the second time :)

Gorgeous! Your lips look so natural and just seem like you were born with them.
