How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Horrible Experience
I have had the custom mandibular wrap procedure done twice now and feel I need to share my experience for anyone considering this surgery. The recovery process has been absolutely horrible and has lasted for more than a year. My swelling lasted two to three months, which was much longer than I expected, and the pain from the nerves waking back up was truly excruciating.
What’s really concerning is that my nerves never fully recovered before I had my revision surgery eight months later. I specifically asked them to round the back of the implant and blend it better, but the implant is still protruding from my skin. I can feel sharp, hard, poky edges at the back of my face, which is exactly what was supposed to be resolved.
When I expressed my concerns and asked them to remove the back portion of the implant entirely, they assured me the issue would be fixed. However, instead of removing it like I requested, they said they would just file down the implant and keep the back portion but make it smaller. This wasn’t what I asked for, and it hasn’t solved the problem.
I am now looking into having a third procedure and truly have no clue what the next direction should be. I have been in recovery from these procedures for almost an entire year now, which has completely disrupted my life. I am very concerned about their competence and ability to actually do what patients are asking for, and I question their ability to operate honestly about what can realistically be achieved.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this procedure to really research their options thoroughly. Make sure your surgeon clearly understands exactly what you want and can realistically deliver those results.
