WORTH IT
Like so many others, I've been stalking Realself for a while, looking at pictures and reading the stories of so many amazing ladies. I've been debating for a while but have finally decided to share my story. I'm 31 yo. I have 2 kids, 8 yo and 19 mo. I'm planning on having a tummy tuck(with MR) and liposuction on January 22, 2015. For as long as I can remember, I have always been slightly overweight. It seems like I carry my extra weight around my midsection. I've never had a flat stomach or a normal looking belly button. I'm 5'5 & currently 179 lbs. Before I got pregnant with my 2nd(and last! Lol) baby, I was 150 lbs, which is small for me. I had a BA in 2009 with another doctor in the same practice. I've tried excercise, changing eating habits and I have had liposuction on my midsection, flanks and inner thighs. Before getting pregnant the 2nd time(2012), the liposuction had a pretty good result. I had more lipo in April 2014 and you can't even tell I had anything done. I was really trying to avoid a tummy tuck but I came to the realization within the last few months that I'm not going to be able to get the flat stomach I've never had without a tummy tuck. I'm still worried about the scar tho! Ugh! I've already had my consult with my doctor, looked at pictures of his work and have seen some of his work in person(I have a friend who had a tummy tuck with him a few months ago). I'm excited but nervous. Less than 3 months to go!

Good luck hun! Im from jax as well. I had a consultation with him. He was my first choice locally....until I came across the infamous Dra Duran in DR and decided to travel overseas! I know that he's great so you will look amazing. Your shape is very nice

Thank you! I'm so excited! My consult was great and he put my mind at ease. I'm still so worried about the scar. I know I'll love the results regardless! I've seen some work from the DR. Most of it was amazing! I hope everything works out for you. Going out of the country for PS makes me so nervous! Wishing you all the best. When is your surgery planned for?

I'm scheduled for 4/6/15. At first I was hesitant to travel but I'm latina so it's like going back home for me, no cultural shock at all. Plus she's very prestigious and certified etc. She's very honest and the fact the she would turn girls down for little things like hemo not being high enough or heart rate a little irregular makes me very comfortable with her plus she's a gorgeous woman so it makes me feel like she really gets us lol

Hit send way to soon. Oops. Lol. It makes sense why you'd be going to the DR. I've read quite a few blogs from ladies that have gone there for PS. They all look amazing and the doctors do seem very selective with the ladies being at certain levels of health. You're going to be so happy with your results. I think she definitely gets us and strives for perfection.

Hi Hun, Best wishes with your upcoming surgery. Sorry the lipo didn't give you the results you wanted. I want to get Lipo sooo bad instead of a TT but I know it's the best to route to get the results that some of us need.

I'm in Jacksonville, too. I'm also 5'5" and 173.5 lb. I should make 170 prior to my surgery on 11/25/14. My pre-op was today. Best wishes.

Hi. What doctor did you pick? 11/25 is around the corner! I'm jealous! ;-) Good luck on the weight loss. I'm pretty much stuck where I am at the moment. :-/

I chose Dr. Rumsey with Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery. I bought supplies today. I'm getting ready.

Just wanted to ask you a question if you don't mind... How many cc's are your implants? I have 550 cc's over fill 600. I'm a DD but I really want to be a DDD. Thinking about redoing mine. Hopefully my DD will look better after my TT and lipo.

Honestly, I didn't ask. Lol. I had a lift and had them filled up more back in April 2014 after my last baby. I went and got professionally remeasured for new bras and was measured as a DDD. When you get your tt with lipo, your tummy being flat will make your boobs look bigger and better. Get your tt done first and then see how your boobs turn out before you go getting them messed with. If it's not broken....... :-) Good luck on your sx! Looking forward to seeing your results!

Thanks for the reply :) I need to update my profile it's been forever! I'm kind of scared of the TT sx. With my BA I was a champ! But I'm letting the "What if's" get the best of me :/

I tried not to let the what if's get to me but they do come up. It wasn't as bad as I thought. So far, it's been totally worth it. It'll be better than you think. If you were a champ with your BA, you'll be just fine.

So it's a little less then 3 months to go and I'm officially obsessed I think. Lol. If Pinterest wasn't bad enough at consuming copious amounts of time, there's a ton about Plastic surgery on there as well. Here are a few more pre-op pictures. I'm so glad to be able to share my story, just as so many other women have done for me. Thanks! You're all wonderful, beautiful and amazing women! Good luck to you all on your journeys!

what size are your boobs now? I had mine done about 8 yrs ago and I was also 25 lbs less than now, but back then I went from a small B to a large D cup. Now, 25 lbs later I'm about and F or a G. I like it though and was thinking about getting a lift and some new implants in a couple of yrs.
