Very Odd Experience

UPDATED FROM vern5152

5 STARS - Best follow up ever

I honestly thought after posting my review there was nothing more to be done. I did not expect to hear from Dr. Smith or his office and I'd chalked this experience up to "lesson learned". I was wrong. I received a call from Dr. Smith's Office Manager, Elizabeth. She apologized for how everything had been handled, explained how much of this was due to a simple miscommunication. She assured me this is not how this practice does business and that they always do everything possible to take care of their patients. I was invited in once more and Dr. Smith took time to personally explain everything and make sure I was happy. Dr. Smith and the staff truly went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I now understand why they have nothing but stellar reviews. Add one more. 5 stars!

ORIGINAL POST

Very Odd Experience

Received Juvederm Voluma (Over $800). First visit was fine. Staff was great and Dr. Smith was very personable and knowledgeable. He numbed the area and all was fine. The results were to last about 2 years. After 3 weeks the product appeared to have dissipated. I was very concerned and called the office. They said they would take care of it and they were able to get me in the same day which was great. The 2nd visit was very strange. Pics were taken of my face which was not done before. No explanation as to why. Dr. Smith said the first time he'd added saline and when the saline dissipated, this could happen. He injected more product to fix the problem. No numbing of the area so this was painful. I was charged an additional $517 for this "corrective procedure". I sent and email on the website to ask why saline was added in the first place and if it was added the 2nd time could I expect the same result after 3 weeks. I also wanted to know why I was charged an additional $500 for what I thought was a corrective procedure. No response. I then called the office. The person I spoke with did not understand why the charge and said that was completely up to the Dr. She said Dr. Smith would call me and explain. I never received a call back. This is a very disappointing experience as I was so pleased at my first visit and def planned to return. Now....not so much.
