WORTH IT$475
I'm 53 years old. I haven't liked my mouth (or rather "no mouth") for years. I mean not just couple of years, a lot of years. When I got Botox in April, I couldn't ignor the beautiful mouths I saw in pictures at the plastic surgeon office, or after, what I saw online. I begin to read everything I could on lip filler.
Now, it was around this time I became aware of Kylie Kardashian. I mean, she was everywhere. I called the plastic surgeon's office asking how much lip filler cost. I planned it exactly on a pay check without as many bills. Affordable..okay. Then I asked people who had it done.
The day came, and I went to my appointment at 4:00 on the 7th of July. I had spent hours reading on Real Self, but didn't expect a nerve bock. I told the doctor what I wanted, and got a nerve block first thing. It was awesome. If only dentists could give oral shots like my plastic surgeon. With the nerve block, I didn't feel a thing. Infact, I was numb for 3 hours after.
I have some bruising, swelling, which is going down. The doctor puts all his patients on Acyclovir which prevents cold sores where the needle goes. I do have bruising where he hit a vessel. If my lips stay mostly plump like I imagine they will in a couple of days, I'll be so pleased. I've never liked wearing lip stick, and when I figured out why, I did something about it. Having a noticeable mouth totally changed my face! I'll post pictures when I put them in the computer. As of now, it's just a before picture, and today. I go back for a follow up in 2 weeks....then a couple of weeks after that it'll be time for a botox dose to my forehead..

Pictures
I've uploaded the pictures of today, day 3 and my before. The filler totally changed my face. I desperately need Dermablend concealer which I will get tonight. That way I can go places without people looking at my mouth funny. Crossing my fingers that as the bruising and swelling goes down, the lips stay. I feel funny to over express myself, even though I know the Juvederm has already set.

Lipstick!
This is 4 days post Juvederm. I finally enjoy lipstick. It took me over 30 minutes to apply it. I'm using Dermablend to cover the bruising. I can totally understand the feeling of women who get breast implants. It's exactly how my I feel about my lips. There is definition and shape, and I love my lips.

Yay! Glad you're loving your lips and lipstick again! If I had your lips, I would clean the cosmetic counter out of their best colors!

Hi Rhonlynn, thank you for posting! Your lips look full and natural - I'm so glad you love them!
It looks like the bruising went away - how long did it take?
Keep us posted and add more photos after your touch up!
