Dr. Lamb did an amazing job on my breast augmentation. He was very friendly and professional. I am 100% satisfied with my results and would recommend dr. Lamb to anyone who is interested in surgery. The staff was very nice and helpful. I never waited more than a couple of minutes in the waiting room and they knew me by first name when I walked in the door. Hands down easiest experience I have ever had with a doctor.
Dr. Lamb is the best. I couldn't be more happy with my results (Breast Augmentation). Dr. Lamb as well as his staff are professional and caring. He addressed whatever concerns I had before I had my surgery.
I have always had a small bust size. In high school I was an A cup, and after having my kiddos I was a B cup (B36 to be exact) I had always contemplated getting breast augmentation but felt nervous about it. Dr. Lamb was amazing and made every appointment feel laid back and without pressure. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in areas I hadn't even thought to research. And I could not be happier with the results. I was very nervous about the procedure and he did everything to alleviate those fears and reassure me. I am 3 months post op and am very happy with my results.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2014. After pre-surgery chemotherapy I had a bilateral mastectomy in October of 2014 followed by immediate reconstruction with silicone breast implants. Then in February of 2015 we followed with nipple reconstruction. The results are completely amazing. All of my other doctors (oncologist, surgeon, primary care) comment on the amazing results and how soft and natural they look. It is so great to look and feel normal again! I would highly recommend Dr. Lamb to anyone thinking about any type of plastic surgery. He is truly an artist.
I'm 53 years old. I haven't liked my mouth (or rather "no mouth") for years. I mean not just couple of years, a lot of years. When I got Botox in April, I couldn't ignor the beautiful mouths I saw in pictures at the plastic surgeon office, or after, what I saw online. I begin to read everything I could on lip filler. Now, it was around this time I became aware of Kylie Kardashian. I mean, she was everywhere. I called the plastic surgeon's office asking how much lip filler cost. I planned it exactly on a pay check without as many bills. Affordable..okay. Then I asked people who had it done. The day came, and I went to my appointment at 4:00 on the 7th of July. I had spent hours reading on Real Self, but didn't expect a nerve bock. I told the doctor what I wanted, and got a nerve block first thing. It was awesome. If only dentists could give oral shots like my plastic surgeon. With the nerve block, I didn't feel a thing. Infact, I was numb for 3 hours after. I have some bruising, swelling, which is going down. The doctor puts all his patients on Acyclovir which prevents cold sores where the needle goes. I do have bruising where he hit a vessel. If my lips stay mostly plump like I imagine they will in a couple of days, I'll be so pleased. I've never liked wearing lip stick, and when I figured out why, I did something about it. Having a noticeable mouth totally changed my face! I'll post pictures when I put them in the computer. As of now, it's just a before picture, and today. I go back for a follow up in 2 weeks....then a couple of weeks after that it'll be time for a botox dose to my forehead.. Updated on 10 Jul 2015: I've uploaded the pictures of today, day 3 and my before. The filler totally changed my face. I desperately need Dermablend concealer which I will get tonight. That way I can go places without people looking at my mouth funny. Crossing my fingers that as the bruising and swelling goes down, the lips stay. I feel funny to over express myself, even though I know the Juvederm has already set. Updated on 12 Jul 2015: This is 4 days post Juvederm. I finally enjoy lipstick. It took me over 30 minutes to apply it. I'm using Dermablend to cover the bruising. I can totally understand the feeling of women who get breast implants. It's exactly how my I feel about my lips. There is definition and shape, and I love my lips. Updated on 22 Jul 2015: I went for a follow up yesterday, and my plastic surgeon fixed my upper lip. He gave me 4 Juvederm shots, to provide shape and definition. He didn't give me anything for pain, but really, it was not a big deal. Today it's kind of sore, no bruising. Lot's of fullness. Last night I had a little soreness. I ate tacos after I had it done. I'm very pleased. I asked him how long the Juvederm lasted, and was surprised when he answered "A year." This morning my face feels a little full so I'll increase my water consumption. You can see from the new picture the difference it's made. Updated on 26 Jul 2015: It's almost 3 weeks and I feel like I finally have a face, rather than a flat shapeless mouth. The difference is amazing and looks great. In 10 months I'll be ready to do this again.
I'm 53, female, and have been thinking about botox for awhile. Here in Kansas City, we have a nationally known plastic surgeon. I talked to my beautician about permanent eyeliner. He said he got botox and Restylane from Dr. Lamb.He is nationally known and was on the cover of a medical plastic surgeon journal. I had spoke to my eyelash specialist (I have eye lash extensions), and she said she refers everyone to Dr. Lamb. His wife does the permanent makeup, he does the fillers, botox and tummy tucks or lipo. The whole procedure took less than 20 minutes. I did a full set of botox, crows feet, between the brow and forehead. I can feel it stretching., today, like a tightening. I can see a difference. My photos are so/so. In 3-5 days, I'll update the photos. The procedure felt like little bee stings. The one that hurt the most was the crow's feet near the eye. Today there is a slight bruise on the right eyebrow area. I am wanting to smile, but nervous about messing up the botox, so I kind of half smile, haha. I can already see a smoothing out, and lifting to my face. I'm very pleased, and will have botox again 4 months from now. Updated on 28 Apr 2015: Wow, what change. Today is day 5. I glanced in my bathroom mirror last night, and saw a 30 year old woman, not a 53 year old. My crows feet, gone, only a little around the very corner or the eyes are present. My forehead feels slightly tight. My smile, I've figure out how to do it without making crows feet. ha ha. It's kind of a narrowed smile, not stretching my face. I can smile, though. My side effects were minimal, no headache from botox, only allergies from outside. I stayed away from the gym for 2 days, like my dr. told me to. I do use vitamin c serum, and sephora's anti aging lotion. I lightly dab the area where the botox is. I'm so pleased with the results. The area between my eyebrows, nearly wrinkle free...try to do that with a wrap or mask. You can, but the results are short lived. I'm so pleased I decided to get botox. And, it has become a little secret. If people say I have beautiful skin for my age, and I heard that at the grocery store yesterday, I said, "It's Lamb Serum products, check it out. The stuff is amazing." With a nod to Dr. Lamb, my plastic surgeon. Updated on 2 May 2015: I feel a little tug of tightness going across my forehead and between my brow. Sometimes I look in the mirror and the wrinkles between my eyebrows are almost gone. Sometimes, though, they are prominent to me, atleast. It's that second I get on Realself to see if I'm normal. I can also feel a tightness on the side of my eyes. I plan on calling my PS to see if I'm healing correctly and will go for a follow up visit Friday. The way to smile without crows feet is to slightly smile, but don't become too expressive. I feel this only works if you have botox, though. I'm really happy with this so far and i'm going to keep it up. Updated on 9 May 2015: Wow. My skin is so smooth. My neighbor asked me if I'd had botox done (we both go to the same PS only she got permanent eyebrows done)and she knew I was going to get botox. I am so pleased. It erased years. I get it again in July. I'm definitely keeping this up. Updated on 9 May 2015: I couldn't add a picture after I ended the review. Here is my 2 week picture.
The recovery was painful but bearable. I was able to attend a friends wedding after two weeks and went to disneyland 6 weeks after for a week. My sensation was not affected and my scarring is much better than I had expected. Wonderful results in the end! I wish I had found this site pre op and been able to share my experiences here. Good luck!
Many normal people harbor staph and MRSA within their noses and don't seem to have a problem, until they have surgery. Consider having a nasal swab cultured to exclude MRSA/staph. Also, consider a skin cleansing routine with an antiseptic such as Hibiclens on the part of the body where surgery will be performed, two days before and the morning of surgery. Though data is hard to accumulate based upon plastic surgery data, the high volume of orthopedic surgical procedures performed in the country support these recommendations and results in less infections.
The upper vermillion (pink lip) should be about 60% of the height of the lower lip vermillion. The aesthetic ideal proportions and dimensions of the lips have been published in scientific articles and need to be taken into account for aesthetic lip procedures. It is important for the upper lip to not be elongated, which will cause the teeth to be obscured. Any volume placed in your upper lip should still leave 2-4 mm of your upper incisors showing. Your lips present some challenges. Select only a skilled and trained aesthetic Dermatologist or PlasticSurgeon for your procedure.
The more motion that is present, the shorter the duration will be. Some areas of fillers in the lips for example will last longer than others. The duration of filler in the white roll can be long lasting, possibly greater than a year. The duration of results in the naso-labial fold is probably the shortest, possibly as short as 5-7 months. Volume can persist despite the onset of particle breakdown, which starts within weeks, because the water molecules that are bound to the HA matrix don't decrease until a critical amount of filler has broken down.
Every patient is different in what they want to achieve and the anatomy that they start with. Anatomy of the existing cleavage is a consideration along with the width of the available pocket that can be created. The higher profile implants may yield a less natural cleavage. Using sizers inside a fairly snug bra can simulate a pretty close look to the final result, with one caveat. That being that the implant will be wrapped with your own tissues and not the reverse as in the simulation. Many patients who like their result post-op will say they would have even gone bigger, but that doesn't mean they don't like their implants. A dimensional approach is hard to beat for consistency in results and natural appearance. Measure to see which is the optimal implant and then go with that or one size larger.
Since 1999 along with a very skilled physical therapist, I have been using 1 mhz therapeutic ultrasound on breast implants that are not settling in as expected. I have shared this protocol with several other plastic surgeons whom I've known or trained with, who have all enjoyed success with the protocol. At times that we have allowed patients who are physical therapists to do the protocol on themselves, most have over treated themselves, resulting in an implant that slipps too low, a testament to effectiveness. The protocol has been documented with photos of a one sided high riding implant that is likely in a pocket with more post surgical inflammation than the other side, after 2 sessions the patient is re-examined and photographed. The implant that has been high, settled in. Sometimes up to 6 treatments are done. I re-examine after every two treatments, before proceeding with additional treatments. The window of time for this treatment is roughly 2-3 months post surgery. A well developed capsule will not be as likely to respond, and we have not used this as a go-to late modality for the well developed capsule contracture. We have probably treated several hundred patients with the protocol without incident. It is difficult to design a scientific study to assess the efficacy of a procedure like this, or we would have published it in a peer reviewed journal. Singulair probably extends the window of time that this procedure will work. It is an off- label usage of the device.
