I regret not doing a thorough research on silicone...

I regret not doing a thorough research on silicone breast sizes the first time around back in Dec. 2013. My BWD is 13.5, I'm 5 2 tall & weigh 160 & my age is 42. I love my surgeon who did both surgeries but I now know I failed to communicate my desired outcome the first time around. I should have taken pictures & asked more questions. My doctor choose a range starting at 400cc HP but I chose 550cc HP which is considered a large size & I was afraid it would look huge on me. Right after surgery I knew they were too small for my frame. I looked proportioned but still flat for my taste. Once they are under the muscle they looked way smaller. He did a fantastic job but I was not happy with the size. I still had to wear padded bras even though I measured at 32DDD. At 6 months I decided to do a revision. I had spent $6000 on the first surgery & now an additional $4700. My husband was not happy to say the least. We work hard for our money & this was a costly mistake on my part. But I was so unhappy that I knew it had to be done. Ladies do your research, even if your surgeon thinks a certain size is too big for you. Most surgeons including mine are on the conservative side. It's up to you to communicate exactly what you want. I should have said the first time I want to look big without a bra while wearing a loose t-shirt & have a lot of cleavage. Fast forward, I had revision in June 2014- stayed with silicone but went with the biggest implant of 800cc to see a big difference and used the UHP so it wouldn't be so wide with the possibility of a lot of side boob. It's also a very narrow implant but it has the biggest projection which I love. I did want to go with the 800cc HP at first but it was too wide & would have made me look too top heavy & fatter. I am overweight at 160 but due to a knee injury I have not been able to exercise for about 6 months. I love my results now!! My breasts are bigger then my belly which tend to give my body some shape. The first surgery was painful because your skin is stretching but no bruising & recovery seemed shorter. The revision was painful too because of the larger implant & I had a lot of bruising & numbness along the crease. Even though I was mentally prepared & the breast pocket is already there, you still deal with other issues. I was worried that I had a hematoma since blood had collected at the bottom of my left breast & I had to communicate
a lot more with Dr. Sukkar this time around. I almost regretted having the revision. I kept saying why did I have to go & mess up a good thing. I wouldn't even let my husband see my bruising. I really panicked!! But things improved dramatically within weeks!! At 2 months I feel great & the implants look very good!! I'm very happy with my 800cc UHP silicone implants.

Blutee I read your story and my heart goes out to you!!! I want to hug you!! My unhappiness with size & revision was small potatoes compared to all the heck you have been put through!! That IS an emotional roller coaster!!! But I'm happy that you finally found a doctor who you trust. I will pray for your Nov. surgery!! Let us know if anything changes!! I do have to say that no matter what we are always going to question our decisions!!

Of course! Both implants have a narrow width with different projections & give you more volume on the upper part of the breast, like if you are wearing a push up bra. But the UHP is much more smaller in width & higher in height which makes them look bigger by basically sticking out forward then having side boob. It's like a "shelf look" appearance,Lol. if you notice on my before pic with 550 (13.5 width, projection 5.6) & now 800, they seem to look the same size but the 800 is slightly wider (14.2) & when I turn to the side that's where you can see the biggest difference, 6.7 projection. A lot of breast sticks out which make you look big even if you are braless under a loose shirt. If I look down at my breasts they stick out past my stomach & I have lots of belly fat. lol This makes my breasts bigger then my belly which I love, if that makes any sense. Go to the website of Dr. Revis & check out his pics & the implant sizes. He has them all listed. http://www.southfloridaplasticsurgery.com/allergan-breast-implants.html I don't think most doctors use the UHP ones. What size are you getting?

I think she did what she thought was right, which is all any if us should do. I got 800cc hp i July of this year and i am not 20 either!!!! I'm a proud 44 year old who got what i wanted and do not care what any haters have to say!!!!!

Dear, for you, on this web site there are just haters and lovers. If i love your boobs and your decision, you send me a thanks and a smiling face, if i tell you that i think you went over the rules of proportion with a size and a kind of aug that the 80% of the surgeons don't use and suggest just because it creates the fakest look possible, then i'm an hater. You have a very logic way to share the world, your logic. My logic is to tell what i think, cause i care more about young women than surgeons stranesse.

Well I was commenting about my own surgery and decision. I got 800s and do not have the fakest look possible. And I too care about the young girls on here and not the surgeons. My surgeon did not try to sway me one way or another, he simply gave me what I wanted. And as for "the rules of proportion" the only RULES should be what will make someone happy.

Since you commented on my post i have gone and looked at your profile. I use that term lightly as from what i can tell you haven't posted anything about yourself. All of your posts seem to be mean spirited and argumentative so I am choosing to remove myself from anymore contact with you.

I assume you mean closed mentally, but I am far from that!

With all the respect i thought you had closed the communications with me, 'cause i'm "mean spirited" (thanks, you are very dedicated in offending people), an hater and a sort of Heretic of the 800cc BA believing. I have been disappointed by the fact that you didn't answer to my questions. Instead you stalked my account to understand something about me. An action that i still can't understand. It's clear that it's not an obligation to fill the page. I noticed you didn't read all the comments, because you would know that i'm absolutely supportive and kind when i look at the before and after and i appreciate the result or the extreme reason for a surgery (specially for very young women). You see, everything is always a point of view. You live with yours, i live with mine. I wish you again a happy new year.

2016 1yr 9mos. 800cc silicone UHP

User Avatar
Curious2013
It's been already 1yr. 9 months since my revision from 550 HP to 800 UHP both silicone implants. I'm very happy with my results! My implants have settled in nicely!! My clothes fit better, except for shirts that have buttons. I need a bigger size otherwise it looks like I'm popping out! I still measure a 34DDD or 34F depending on the brand. I have a lot of cleavage & projection. I started to workout again after a year due to a knee injury. I do have to wear a high impact bra when jogging or doing jumping jacks etc. I feel more comfortable & this keeps them from sagging. I can do any kind of exercise including weights & my implants don't get in the way but I can certainly feel them more when doing push-ups or planks. My doctor said because they are under the muscle but that will not cause problems. I have lost 13lbs so far & my breasts look even bigger now that my belly is going down. I do like that a lot!!! I weigh 166lbs now & have another 20lbs more to go. I'm only 5' 2 so I tend to look short & round like an apple!! Lol!! Overall I am very happy with my results!! This large size fits my body frame much better!! My husband is happy too! I've attached some recent pictures. I'm happy to answer any questions & I do hope that my comments can be helpful.

You look awesome!! Any pics with you before implants and with 550 uhp for comparison? I'm going for third surgery as I'm still not happy with my size increase and feel not enough cleavage and projection. I have 500 mod plus Mentor silicone under muscle with donut mastopexy. What brand or implant are yours?? I need a huge implant to get any difference since I have broad chest and shoulders. Please advise so I get right this time. I was thinking if I stay with silicone, maybe switch to Inspira 800cc in ultra high profile to not regret and to not compromise my width, but give me projection and cleavage.

OMG!!' I'm so glad I found your review! I'm 5'3 158lbs bwd 14 I have the 510 Sientra moderate profile and the look wide and flat! I'm torn between 800 cc HP and UHP. My surgeon suggested mentor can you provide me with the width & projection of yours also the natrelle type so I can compare please!!! The mentor HP is 15.5 wide 6.0 projection the UHP is 14.1 wide and 6.7 projection . How does Natrelle compare? I'll message you!!! I would really love to text you I don't want to make another size choice as this will be my third attempt!!!
March 22, 2016
By the way I'm above the muscle after 5 consults all surgeons suggest I stay above the muscle also I have a naturally low crease and with the wide chest implants look small on me. Your review has given me hope!

You look great and I agree Natrelle offers more projection and y I'm going for s 3rd revision to finally get look I want.

Photos of 550 HP & 800 UHP

User Avatar
Curious2013
I want to show the difference between my previous style 20, smooth round 550HP silicone implants & my current style 45, smooth round 800UHP silicone implants both by Allergan Natrelle. My doctor said that Natrelle's implants tend to project out more than the Mentor brand. My old 550HP have a diameter of 13.5 & projection of 5.6. My current 800UHP, diameter 14.2, & projection 6.7. My BWD is 13.5. There is some slight side boob but it doesn't bother me. They are narrow but do have a lot of projection which I like.

Thank you for the information! Do they feel much heavier than the 550cc? Is your incision under the breast? If so, do you have pain or pressure underneath? They look awesome!
User Avatar
March 22, 2016
You are welcome!! They feel about the same. My back doesn't hurt & I don't wear a bra for sleeping. I still massage them all the time, pretty rough, and have no pain. Only when I jog, run, do push-ups or planks or even lie on top of them, I really feel their weight but it doesn't hurt. My incisions are under the breast & there is no pressure or pain at all. Thank you!

Thank you!! Are you going from saline to silicone? My current 800UHP diameter is the same as a 650HP. This is the width you would have.

OMG!! Thank you so much for this!! You have EXACTLY what I want! I wish I had gone with the uhp's the first time around. I do love my 450 hp's but would LOVE LOVE LOVE to swap them out for 700-750cc uhp's. You look FABULOUS! I love your projection, your fullness and roundness, and the side boob is super sexy! Hoping I can save enough to get a revision soon! I'm so jealous! Lol!!

Hi! We are about the same height & weight. After seeing your photos it's making me rethink the size I want. I like your look. First plastic surgeon suggested 400, 2nd ps suggested 220. What's your bra strap size? Do you have any pictures showing more of your body wearing a shirt? I am just really worried about proportion. Thanks!

I wish I had read your post before I had mine done and now I regret it because it is small 575cc. Trying to save some money to get it done again
