Two weeks down and stitches out

So I'm officially 13 days post op, but I had my follow up today so I decided to post my update.
Pain: minimal at this point. Nipple sensitivity and numbness come and go. My left side still has more pain than my right. I accidentally used my left arm to pull myself up onto my kids trampoline ( to fix the net... Not jump! Lol) and I felt it instantly and it continued to ache and spasms the rest of the evening.
I go back to work tomorrow night so I'm curious how I will do. I have a somewhat physical job but it doesn't require lifting over 10lbs so I've been okayed to go back.

Healing: results are as expected so far. He is happy with how they move in the pocket and applauded me on doing my exercises. He said the magic week is week 5-6, when they will drop in noticeably. Can't wAit to see that! Right now my right has dropped more than my left. I am also starting to use a scar treatment gel on my incisions. It's by SkinMedica and called "Scar Recovery gel." It was recommended by my friend who works for a PS in Seattle. I bought the small size on Amazon and if I am happy with the results I'll buy the larger size. I think it was like $30 for the small. I've had almost no bruising. Just a small yellow purple bruise on my right side.
I've also but some Nippies to cover my nipples since my PS doesn't want me in a bra. They work wonderfully! The girls have had their high beams on and these really hide them. The outline can be seen if I wear a super thin and tight shirt, but it's winter so I haven't been.

POD #5

Well, 3 am seems to be the bewitching hour. For the last 3 nights, I've woken up at 3 am with back pain and mild breast discomfort. I take some Tylenol and either move to the couch or turn on the heating pad. I wonder what it is about that time...
I'm definitely going a little stir crazy being home. I had planned on taking a walk today with my youngest, but it started to rain. It's been cold and wet since my surgery. I don't do cold weather and I need the sun!
I feel good today though. Not much discomfort at all. I was able to drive the kids to school and pick them up yesterday and today. I'm thinking about going to the mall tomorrow just to walk around someplace warm and dry.
Happy healing!

POD #3

So it's now my third day post op and almost all discomfort is gone. I have twinges every now and then when I reach too far back or after being somewhat active with my arms or first get up in the morning. They are still swollen and pointy and the PS said he expects that to last for 6 weeks for me. I do notice them getting softer already though. I started my massages post op day one and do them 4 times a day. It feels funny but not painful at all. The recovery has been one thousand times easier than I expected. But that's probably because I had been preparing myself for pitocin induced contraction pain, haha. Not even close to it!
I go back on the 21st to have my sutures removed and see the PS again.
