Acne scars are very difficult to deal with . after many different lasers and bad results, I realize that I want it to try something safer with no down time. My scars weren't deep to begin with, more of textural issues with some shallow scars (redness, a few pits , some shallow rolling scars) . juvederm voluma did a great job on filling in some of the scars on my cheeks. I had it done about two weeks ago and my cheeks look good and I even look less tired is a great quick fix for some people. 0 side effects 0 down time very easy painless procedure.

Hi there! I can relate to your story as I too have a mixture of acne scars like yours. I tried dermaroller 6 sessions and my scars are better but still evident. So am very interested in your success story with Voluma. Can you please tell me - did it involve multiple small injections of Voluma to place the Voluma beneath each individual scar? If so, was multiple pin pricks rather an ordeal to get through, or were you thoroughly numbed with emla cream local anaesthetic all over the treated skin area? Many thanks. I might ask my PS to do it, depending on your description!

Hey , I'm glad the dermaroller worked for you. Im definitely staying away from lasers way too many side effects in my opinion. I try dermaroller before and it does work but is a super slow process. The only laser I might try is the picosure I heard a lot of good things about it (0 downtime) but is too new to tell. At this point I just want an even skin tone so hopefully that laser would do it. Now I'm going to try to give you an accurate answer; I don't think my doctor fill every scar individually I only had 2 semi deep scars one in each cheek according to a 3D image he showed me. I believe he just spread the filler in the area tbh (midface, kinda tear trough) he also told me that the needle was doing a type of subcision as well. No emla or any cream before the filler. I had no type of pain at all but once again everyone is different and I guess depending on the type of scars different methods with fillers are use by doctors. Hope that helps

That is great news- congrats on getting the results you were looking for. We'd love to see some pics!
