My motivation was saggy breasts left from...
My motivation was saggy breasts left from breastfeeding & 15 yrs of up & down weight. Finally, keeping 100# off for 6 yrs was my goal. If I could easily keep it off, then I deserved the breast lift, augmentation & tummy tuck. My family & few friends I told supported me from day one. No regrets for sure!I first had the breast lift due to severe ptosis of the breast (I could hold 4 pencils under each in my pre-op appt) and that surgery was pretty simple. He doesn't recommend mastopexy & implants in the same day due to risk of rupturing your sutures, plus, it distorts the breast too much for him to make them perfect. It was amazing what little breast tissue I actually had after all of the loose, saggy skin was gone & my nipples were back in the right place. Then came 3 months of waiting for the final step, a million questions and worrying I'd be too big or disappointed I didn't go bigger with my implants. Then some girls telling me only silicone, others saying saline looked just as good, so to ease my mind, I just met with the Dr himself. He talked to me for 30 min regarding Saline vs Silicone. He recommended saline & in the end, my friends all thought I'd gotten silicone! The surgery was tough, no lie. Woke up with 2 drains, a girdle similar to something from the 1950's on, a sports bra, and a band over my breasts. My implants were placed through my abdomen which Dr. Hendrick helped to perfect ( It's called a TUBA- TransUmbilical Breast Augmentation). It was a rough first night, and I felt sorry for my family as nothing helped me or my pain! At my one day post op appt, Dr Hendrick was super caring when I couldn't get good pain control and ordered something stronger. I also got the band off my chest & my sports bra loosened a bit. Too bad that girdle had to stick around for 4 more weeks! It was pretty rough going, but every day was a bit better. It was much better when I had my drains removed. I could stand straight up again! After 4 1/2 weeks at home, I went back to work (probably a bit too soon considering my 17" incision and the type of job I have, but with co-worker support, I made it). Some noticed "Something's different about you..." others, especially some guys, they just flat out asked if I'd gotten "new boobs" and when I confirmed a suspicion, I would get a smile and a comment like, "Good choice... Perfect fit" from guys that were like my brothers. I never anticipated being a 34DDD, but I couldn't be happier with my Mentor Round High Profile Saline Implants! When other girls I worked with that had gone to Kansas City saw the outcome of my surgery, they were all saying they wished they had gone to Dr. Hendrick! And not just with the boobs... My stomach is so flat you can flip a quarter on it! I did it for me and couldn't be happier!!!
Provider Review
To say Dr. Hendrick is a perfectionist is putting it mildly. But when altering the body, who wouldn't want a perfectionist operating on them? He told me straight up his opinions, what I had to have to look right & then other options like size, etc.
