Very Happy with Fractional Laser Resurfacing

I had the CO2 fractional laser resurfacing 6 weeks ago. I am 48 years old. Dr Henstrom was great about answering all my questions and making sure I knew what to expect. For the treatment they used numbing cream on my face and eye shields underneath my lids so that he could get right up close near my eyes. The procedure itself was uncomfortable but not unbearably so. I think it lasted approximately 30 minutes. The cooling wand did a good job of cooling the skin quickly after the laser passed over it. I followed the care instructions and my face was pretty scary for several days but again, not too painful. My husband said it looked like someone had taken a lawnmower to it, with angry red lines all over. There was some swelling the first few days and bleeding by the end of the first night. I went back to work after a week but probably could have gone back sooner. My face was quite pink but easily camouflaged with makeup. I’m 6 weeks out; Dr Henstrom told me to expect any tightening at approximately the 3 month mark. My skin itself has never looked better. I am very happy with my results and highly recommend the procedure and Dr Henstrom to anyone interested. I could not have asked for a better experience.
