4 weeks Post Op

It's actually tomorrow that is 4 weeks since my surgery :)
I'm feeling really well - a bit tired of the up and down with swelling... same as everyone at this stage. I thought I'd finished with the swelling earlier this week - seemed so nice and flat all the time for three days. Then I had a few really busy days in a row, a meal with lots of salt, and poof, blown up again.
Last week at my 21 day check up the PS said everything looks good and at four weeks I can leave the steri-strips off (after tomorrow) and go without the binder, if I want. He also said that that time I can use silicone tape or BioOil or whatever I'd like to use on the scar. Today at the incision I've got at least four (v small) areas that haven't completely healed over yet - still quite red and with scabs. So after I had a look today I put fresh steri-strips on again and will check in another 4-5 days from now. The wound really doesn't feel ready to be without the support of the steri-strips - feels unstable to me. Have been without my binder much of today so far, and feel swollen up, but no problem standing straight or getting up and down from sitting or anything.
These are pics from Day 22 - not much swelling then :) and bb healing really well.
Hope everyone is enjoying a lovely Sunday and continued good healing.

17 Days PostOp

Thought I'd put up a few pics. Gotta tell ya, when I stepped out of the shower this morning and saw the image in the mirror - whoa, I've actually got a figure again - my old body hasn't looked this good in such a long, long time. Can't help but be happy with the way the whole project has gone to this point. Yes, 17 days, and still swollen - you can see in the profile pic I'm swollen at the incision site and below and another swelling in the upper abdomen where he did the muscle tightening. But Holy Smokes here's a picture of me just more than 2 weeks ago. OMG so happy that is gone. My surgeon is the one who did the magic, and the one I credit with my easy healing too.
Have been busy today and did another 2 km walk - feeling v grateful. Sending positive vibes out to everyone who is healing.

15 day Post Op

I'm really pleased with the way I'm healing - and super-delighted with the way I'm going to look when things settle down. I survived the classes really well, no problem with energy or pain or anything. The swelling on day 11, 12, 13 was pretty bad, down a bit, up again - much like everyone has said. Still - even with the very puffy swelling, the binder on, a bra and camisole - then a top... I can still easily wear my 'before' jeans and pants. It's like a new gift every morning to see that I've finally lost the blob. I'm pretty much back to a pre-TT activity level, except anything strenuous, of course, but I've been pretty busy - and no problems. My incision seems fine - and is starting to get a bit itchy - a good sign of healing. Will see the PS on Monday (21 days post) to remove steri-strips and clear me for further activity. Heading out for a good long walk this afternoon. Nothing much more to add - hope all you gorgeous ladies are doing well today.

So far I am delighted with everything about the PS and his office staff. I am feeling confident and well prepared for the surgery. Dr Bendor- Samuel is very personable and will respond to any questions. He saw me right before the surgery, to mark me and reassure me that everything was in place for a good outcome. He has done a perfect job for me from what I can tell. The surgery went extremely well and at five days PO everyone, especially me, is delighted with the outcome.
