Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Great and Friendly Staff. TBD Results

Results: Approximately 1.5 months into the surgery the vast majority of all transplanted hairs in the front and in the vertex has fallen off. I'm very much hoping the hairs will quickly regrow. Will update the review as results come in, but I am hopeful as other clients who came back for a second surgery said they had good first round results.

Overall Pros:
1. Great Comm. Staff: Fikret and Hazal who handle communications for English clients are very friendly and helpful people who answered all questions and made the process very reassuring. Additionally, their English is very proficient.
2. Hotel pickup through all days necessary was provided
3. Post-op care was taken seriously and done well
4. Great response time and care even after the procedure.

Overall Cons:
1. Other staff speaks no English: Besides Fikret and Hazal, the others in the clinic including the doctor basically spoke no English. This was problematic because I would have loved to have direct feedback from the doctor.
2. Painful: Hair transplantation was surprisingly painful to the donor area (back of head) especially during the first week. This caused me to continually itch and have trouble sleeping. Even after the first week donor area remains tender and hurts when pressure is applied
3. It can be disconcerting when nurses and technicians are talking in a different language a lot and laughing while you are in surgery and feeling extremely woozy and painful.

Staff: By far the best part of the procedure. Fikret and Hazal were extremely accommodating from the initial 30+ questions I sent through email through the various texts and questions I had in person. This made me feel confident about the procedure and was the biggest selling factor to selecting this provider over others.

Pre-Operation: I contacted almost 20 hair transplant providers before selecting Resul Yaman. I created an Excel sheet with each doctor and evaluated them based off online reviews, their answers to my questions, cost, and English proficiency. Resul Yaman was the lowest cost doctor who had great reviews and had people who responded to my emails in perfect English. Other providers were either two times as expensive or had uncomfortably bad English. Upon arriving to Turkey, Fikret and Hazal helped organize a driver who brought us to our included hotel. Everything in terms of transportation to and from the doctor's office was fully taken care of and this was much appreciated. Fikret and the doctor (translated for by Firket) answered as many of my questions as possible. My main concern was that I had hair recovered from Rogaine that I would have liked to be transplated, but unfortunately the doctor would not be able to identify which hairs were 100% natural and which was from Rogaine.

Operation Day: This operation can be very tedious and painful for someone who does not normally do operations. The procedure was from 8AM to around 3PM. The worst part was the local anesthesia being injected. They were insanely painful. After the anesthesia, the rest of the procedure wasn't too bad but it was very boring/lightly painful and none of the nurses or the doctor spoke English. I did not take photos during the procedure, but it felt as if the doctor cut into my scalp and then the nurses used a machine to suck out my hair from the back of the head and put it into the front of my head. Overall, it was very tiring. The main complaints I had were the pain and the fact that the staff spoke no English. This was particularly disconcerting because the nurses/technicians would talk to one another a lot and laugh which kind of sucked when you were laying there is extreme pain. I assume they weren't laughing at me, but still it wasn't great to the nerves.

Post-operation: This was by far the worst because during the whole week of the operation I had insane trouble sleeping and it was extremely painful to sleep. I would not be able to sleep until 5AM if not more due to the pain. I even took painkillers and they did not help. After the first week it got much better but even until now the back of my head still feels tender.
The clinic did a great job of letting me come in for hair washings and the washings were very carefully and well done. No complaints on the clinic side in terms of post-op. Overall well handled by Hazal, Fikret, and staff.
