I visited Dr Yaman just over a week ago. It was my 2nd hair op, the 1st from another place was a disaster resulting in an unnatural hairline. The difference between the 2 ops were night and day. I cannot begin to say how friendly and dedicated Dr Yaman's team were. First class. My hairline looks a million times better. The extractions were amazing - no bleeding the next day. Swelling on my head was non existent. After one week there is no redness and no scabs. Truly amazing. Of course, I will not know my results properly for about 6 months but the signs are extremely promising. A special shout out to Ihsan who really couldn't have done any more to help. Dr Yaman himself did the incisions which look amazing. He only does 3 surgeries a day which tells you everything you need to know. He was also a lovely man. Fully recommended.
hello guys so im 24 yo and im 10 days post op what do you think ! i also noticed more scabs on right side than left does that means that i will have more growth on it than the other or did they fill more graft on it ...!! thanks
I’m mid-late 30’s from the UK with Norwood 4-5 hair loss. Lacked any density in the middle, bald spot and a detached island of hair at the front. My hair loss began very gradually around late twenties, all the way until mid 30’s when it began to stabilize somewhat. Initially I made appointments at 3 of the UK’s providers of hair transplant. I was met and assessed each time by what I can only describe as a non-medical professional, in effect a trained salesman! This is in fact contrary to ISHRS guidelines which states that a medical doctor should perform the initial examinations. It felt as though in each case I was being evaluated on the basis of what wealth I was perceived to have; and despite being offered different hair transplant procedures/plans by the 3 clinics, the cost was always around £5000, which suggested that they were well trained at guessing how much I could afford based on age and appearance – I look younger and dress very casually. I also never mentioned a specific budget. The treatments offered to me by the different providers were: 1. FUT with no specified amount of grafts to cover my whole scalp apparently (£5500); 2. FUE to just cover the frontal area, and not the crown as the guy said that taking saw palmetto tablets (which they sold under their own brand) would make my crown thicken sufficiently - no specified number of grafts (£5000); 3. FUE to cover the crown and middle and to give me a hairline for £6000, again no specified number of grafts. In each case they were very vague on exactly what I was getting. I researched the internet for clinics in Turkey. I observed that there are 3 types of clinic mainly; 1) clinics that charged under a 1000 euros for a mega sessions, where there are no doctors present; clinics that charge around 2000 euros for a mega session, where there is one doctor who has minimal input into the procedure other than drawing out a hairline; and lastly, clinics that charge more for the procedures because of the quality of the doctor/clinic, these clinics charge their own rates for example cost per graft. I narrowed down my search to 4 clinics which I contacted. Dr Resul Yaman’s clinic attracted me for several reasons: 1. Reviews online were overall the best I had seen personally, 2. Photos of the work performed seemed great 3. The assessment I got was both detailed and realistic. Fikret who is the manager of the clinic, was very helpful and took care of all the arrangements at short notice. I won’t go into too much detail on the logistics, as the most important aspect is truly the final result; however, I was picked up to and from the airport on time, the hotel was decent, and staff at the clinic were pleasant. I actually managed to visit Istanbul on my first day, with the following day my operation. Dr Yaman mapped out the grafts on my scalp (4000) and performed all the incisions himself, and the operation went very well. I was given all my aftercare products, head washed and bandages following days, and I was off back to the UK 3 days later. After 8/9 months, I had pretty much a full head of hair again and I felt reborn!!! The hair was great, the sides also looked good. One year later, I decided I wanted to lower my hairline slightly and thicken up the front a little more. I had an extra 1300 grafts done and now I’m at 8 months after the second procedure, I am even more thrilled. I am so happy with this and I will 100% recommend this clinic to anyone wanting a hair transplant. Some key things I’d like to mention: 1. Dr Yaman is extremely involved in the whole procedure from start to finish and performs all the incisions himself. 2.There is a designated extraction specialist to extract grafts. 3.The technicians are really professional and they were actually the same staff both times I visited which was very reassuring. 4. All the implanted hairs grow in their correct directions, so there is no need to wear gel on a daily basis to mask wrong directed hairs, as I have seen from other clinic’s reviews. 5. The hairline design looks good and natural – I observed this from other patients that were there. 6. The hair density is great all over. 7. After over 5000 grafts, the donor actually looks good and not particularly over harvested, I’ve had no issues wearing my hair either short or long on the sides. If your hair is important and you want to get the best possible result both in terms of hair/hairline design, and quality of grafts, as well as good density, you simply must go to Dr Yaman for your procedure!!! Updated on 11 Sep 2019: Just a recap. Had 4050 grafts initially, then after 12 months added an extra 1300 at the front. Its gone 11 months now after the second procedure, and I am ecstatic with my results. Added a few photos in heavy lighting to show results so far. Updated on 12 Aug 2020: So as I had the time, I decided to go back to Turkey for a 3rd time for a few more grafts. My first was a general coverage of the top with 4050, exactly one year later my second op was to fortify the front and bring hairline down. My third was to dense up the back middle, and add a few at the hairline as well. I went in January and it's all growing well. My donor is actually looking alright, I keep it short as its quite sparse. I was actually very pleased after the second op. However, as I had some free time and money I decided to go and finish off this project once and for all!! I can say outright that im really happy with my hair. I've added current pictures in lighting to show my current hair progress. Points to note are that I don't use fibers, gel or any sort of styling products whatsoever. I haven't combed my hair. The sides are trimmed to about a grade 1.5. Updated on 13 Oct 2020: It's 9 months after the 3rd visit and I'm very pleased. ive cut my hair shorter than before just to see properly the back and middle under lighting. I'm very pleased with this result so far. Looks thick and complete even at this short length. To be honest I probably didn't need to come for 3rd but I had time and some money to do it. So I just had back done. Thecrown is still relatively thinner but in normal lighting looks good; it's worth noting that not many grafts added further to the crown as these tend to be wasted in the crown area Updated on 22 Apr 2022: I had some grafts placed in my crown, and unlike the hairline, it took the full 18 months to see the final result. I have included pictures under lighting of my final results front back and top of head. out of 10, I would say I am 9/10 satisfied with my result. I'm very happy with the hairline and the top. The donor is relatively see through in terms of graft numbers, but not overharvested in terms of its design; it is worth noting that the grafts have been extracted in a well dispersed pattern, and as a result it does not look uneven or moth eaten, as I have observed in other patients.
Results: Approximately 1.5 months into the surgery the vast majority of all transplanted hairs in the front and in the vertex has fallen off. I'm very much hoping the hairs will quickly regrow. Will update the review as results come in, but I am hopeful as other clients who came back for a second surgery said they had good first round results. Overall Pros: 1. Great Comm. Staff: Fikret and Hazal who handle communications for English clients are very friendly and helpful people who answered all questions and made the process very reassuring. Additionally, their English is very proficient. 2. Hotel pickup through all days necessary was provided 3. Post-op care was taken seriously and done well 4. Great response time and care even after the procedure. Overall Cons: 1. Other staff speaks no English: Besides Fikret and Hazal, the others in the clinic including the doctor basically spoke no English. This was problematic because I would have loved to have direct feedback from the doctor. 2. Painful: Hair transplantation was surprisingly painful to the donor area (back of head) especially during the first week. This caused me to continually itch and have trouble sleeping. Even after the first week donor area remains tender and hurts when pressure is applied 3. It can be disconcerting when nurses and technicians are talking in a different language a lot and laughing while you are in surgery and feeling extremely woozy and painful. Categories of review Staff: By far the best part of the procedure. Fikret and Hazal were extremely accommodating from the initial 30+ questions I sent through email through the various texts and questions I had in person. This made me feel confident about the procedure and was the biggest selling factor to selecting this provider over others. Pre-Operation: I contacted almost 20 hair transplant providers before selecting Resul Yaman. I created an Excel sheet with each doctor and evaluated them based off online reviews, their answers to my questions, cost, and English proficiency. Resul Yaman was the lowest cost doctor who had great reviews and had people who responded to my emails in perfect English. Other providers were either two times as expensive or had uncomfortably bad English. Upon arriving to Turkey, Fikret and Hazal helped organize a driver who brought us to our included hotel. Everything in terms of transportation to and from the doctor's office was fully taken care of and this was much appreciated. Fikret and the doctor (translated for by Firket) answered as many of my questions as possible. My main concern was that I had hair recovered from Rogaine that I would have liked to be transplated, but unfortunately the doctor would not be able to identify which hairs were 100% natural and which was from Rogaine. Operation Day: This operation can be very tedious and painful for someone who does not normally do operations. The procedure was from 8AM to around 3PM. The worst part was the local anesthesia being injected. They were insanely painful. After the anesthesia, the rest of the procedure wasn't too bad but it was very boring/lightly painful and none of the nurses or the doctor spoke English. I did not take photos during the procedure, but it felt as if the doctor cut into my scalp and then the nurses used a machine to suck out my hair from the back of the head and put it into the front of my head. Overall, it was very tiring. The main complaints I had were the pain and the fact that the staff spoke no English. This was particularly disconcerting because the nurses/technicians would talk to one another a lot and laugh which kind of sucked when you were laying there is extreme pain. I assume they weren't laughing at me, but still it wasn't great to the nerves. Post-operation: This was by far the worst because during the whole week of the operation I had insane trouble sleeping and it was extremely painful to sleep. I would not be able to sleep until 5AM if not more due to the pain. I even took painkillers and they did not help. After the first week it got much better but even until now the back of my head still feels tender. The clinic did a great job of letting me come in for hair washings and the washings were very carefully and well done. No complaints on the clinic side in terms of post-op. Overall well handled by Hazal, Fikret, and staff.
Fantastic experience from start to finish! Cannot fault the service. I arrived a few days early to make a holiday from the trip - Huzzal and Fikret arranged to pick us up and take us to our hotel, they then also arranged for us to move hotel to the one the clinic was putting us up in for no charge. Dr Yaman is very professional and clearly very experienced. I am a Doctor myself so had undertaken a fair amount of research before booking. On the day of the procedure Dr Yaman analysed my hair and explained the procedure via interpreter- Fikret. I then had my hair prepared and was taken through to the procedure room. The staff were all very caring and friendly. The procedure itself is long however it is definitely worth it! I had 4500 Grafts harvested from the back and sides and transplanted to the top of my head. The aftercare was also great with lots of education on aftercare. I was offered free PRP injections if I was ever back in Istanbul. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Yaman's services. I am very happy with the results.
It was good. At first I was apprehensive about it being in Turkey and me not speaking the language. However, the team there, including their English speakers, Fikret and Hazal, were very warm and welcoming and made my stay there very good. Every day post surgery for over a week they would send a driver across the city to bring me in for a professional cleaning. A very great team. And a good experience, I’d highly recommend!!
Hello my name is Cengiz Budak. I am Turkish and I live in Germany. I have hair transplant operation in Dr. Yaman Hair Clinic 11 months ago. Now I come to Istanbul again visit Dr. Yaman for consultation and for free PRP. 11 months ago my hair transplant operation is 4560 grafts. I am happy with result. Everything is good and they are kind people. Today they take my pictures after controls and PRP. I share my pictures here. Result is very very good. I recommend Dr. Yaman to everybody. Just one problem: The driver is late and because of this I am late for my consultation.
Professionalism and kindness are the things these people work with, from the receptionists to the Doctor Yaman. Especially Mr. Fikret and Miss Hazal they followed me since the beginning to the end and after. 2550 grafts.......GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
Hello, I wanted to share my experience about Dr. Yaman. It was a 4 days experince in total and well organized in every way. I was taken to the hospital as I arrived to Istanbul. Firstly I had my blood analysis and consultation. The doctor took care about it. He explained the plan for the surgery and they took me to the hotel. Hotel is really comfort and near to the clinic. In the day of the operation, they took again blood to prepare PRP. As I was sensible to the anesthesia, I asked to the doctor to do pre-anasthesia without injection and it really helped. The surgery was really comfort except the position of the extraction but it was ok for a short time. Doctor draw an ideal line and we agreed in a way. After the doctor opened the canals for HT. His team continued to work. The day after they took the bandage off and the other day they did first wash and taking me to airport.Even the price is a bit higher when we compare with the other clinics but it is worth. I can recommend it. It is only a week for now. I asked my photos from the clinic and here they are.
Hello, my name is igor simões, I was in Istanbul about 1 month ago for the hair transplant at Dr. Resil Yaman's clinic. I would like to say that it was an excellent experience from the first contact with Mrs Hazal who answered all my questions quickly until the day of Surgery. When I arrived in Istanbul, I was picked up by a driver who took me to the 5 star Hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. On the day of the Surgery, I did the blood tests and had my consultation with Dr Yaman, who explained in detail the amount of grafs that could be transplanted and the areas that would receive these grafts, as well as the donor area. At the end of the appointment, I was taken to the operating room. The surgery was pain-free and always closely monitored by Dr Yaman and other doctors and nurses at the Clinic. In the end, I was taken to the Hotel with the medications and guidelines about the postoperative period. The other day I did the washing and payment for Surgery. I just wanna to thank Dr Yaman and all his staff for the excellent service, i had 3.750 Grafts transplanted and i hope to check the results as soon as possible, so that I can show them here. Thank you so much
