Hair Transpant Procedure at Dr. Sameer Karkhanis's Worked Magic in my Life!
By the beginning of 2021, when I was about 48 years old, I had lost a significant number of hairs on the front side of my scalp, and hence I entered the category of “bald” people. For some people baldness may not negatively impact the personality but I thought then that in my case it did.
So, instead of despairing over this hair loss, which was hereditary, I decided to act. I decided to go for a hair-transplant, strongly supported and even pushed by my wife.
And I knew in advance where I would do this surgery and it was at Dr.Sameer’s clinic.
Why?
Because there was a history of 4 successful hair transplants in our family, namely, 3 cousin uncles and a cousin, all of whom underwent their hair transplants at Dr. Sameer’s with amazing results.
My hair transplant was performed in Feb 2021. It was a very smooth experience. About 4000 hair strands from the back side of my scalp were removed during the first half of the surgery and in the second half they were planted on the bald part.
Thanks to the medical scientists who imagined, developed, and improved upon the hair-transplant procedure.
Okay, removing the hair strands might be relatively easy but how amazing that it has become possible to plant them at the desired, that is, bald part of the scalp!
And with post-operative care and regimen a true magic happens, that is, those planted hairs behave as if they are normal hairs albeit at a newer place of their residence.
Although I was doubtful whether transplanting 4000 hair strands would be sufficient, as I must have lost at least 20000 by then. But as the strands grew longer, they covered a larger part of the scalp than I had imagined. And with post-operative regimen of hair sprays, hair growth tablets and anti-hair loss shampoo, quantity of my hairs on the previously bald part has become quite abundant.
I follow the post-operative regimen religiously and will continue to do so as I do not want to lose what I gained with this procedure.
The restoration of lost hair has of course restored my confidence.
A long-time colleague and friend, Ashish, often remarks that in his friend circle he knows of a few guys who went for hair-transplant procedure but mine was the most successful.
They say that your looks don’t matter but I am one of those for whom they matter. I believe in presenting myself to the world as better as possible.
