You Have to Choose Dr. Steinwald - He is the Best

DenverMom5280
Dr. Steinwald is, hands down, the best plastic surgeon. I own an aesthetics injections clinic in Denver and refer to a small, select group of plastic surgeons and when it was my turn to choose one, I chose Dr. Steinwald. I had a classic "mommy makeover" removing extra skin post pregnancy (and a little fat) as well as a breast lift to correct the sagging that happened when I grew from a B cup to a DD while nursing my kiddos (then back to a very deflated B). I look AMAZING! Yes the surgery center is clean, lovely and staffed with fantastic providers. Yes the clinics are the same. But - we're all looking for a surgeon who is both brilliant and artistic - that's Dr. Steinwald. I have a genetic condition that makes my skin loose and scars behave poorly but he knew exactly how to get me good results so you don't have to worry if you have anything "weird", he is well versed in being both a doctor and a surgeon. My waist is about three inches smaller, my breasts are perky and in the correct place (I went for just the lift, no implant). You need to know that Dr. Steinwald talks VERY fast but just ask him to repeat anything you didn't get the first time. He is patient and kind but most importantly, he is the surgeon with beautiful results.

How much did the surgery cost? And did you get a pain pump

No need for a pain pump - I opted for the long-acting numbing medicine (an extra $500) so my belly was numb for the first 3 days. I took one week off of work but should have taken 1.5 (surgery was on a Wednesday). Not terrible but I was wiped out after working those days and fine by the following Monday. I'm almost 50 so a younger person would likely recover faster. Depending on all of the "options" you throw into the surgery, recovery is 3-6 weeks. Price is based on many factors. Since I can't do mammography, he also did a breast tissue biopsy to keep me current on my preventative care. All total: tummy tuck, some lipo, breast lift (no implant), long acting numbing medication, accounting for the extra time to repair structures related to my genetic defect AND sending off a tissue biopsy was just under $18k. I opted to do it all at once and very glad I did. Anesthesia and the OR are a per visit to the surgery suite cost so combining saved thousands. Plus, I only wanted to recover once. If I had it all to do over again I would do the exact same collection of corrective procedures all at the same time I just would have done them sooner.

How long was your surgery? Did you use any special creams for the scar?
