Boobs... Why Did I Wait So Long?!?! - Gold Coast, AU

I'm writing this review a little back to front...

I'm writing this review a little back to front from others as I have already had my breast augmentation done but wanted to share my experience with others as so many have done for us on this site.
Ive wanted to get breast implants for so many years and now that its done i cant believe i waited so long. Like seriously!
A bit about me. I'm approx 170cm tall and 60kg in weight and have been a B cup size for like ever. Not that i would truly know because with the huge market for padded bras out there i was never with out one (totally different story now) I wanted to be a D in the end if possible.
So I booked my self for a breast augmentation with CosMediTour Gold Coast for a few reasons and I hope the info i provide here will help others as when i was on the initial search, there was and still is very limited information about them.
My initial contact was to see if i was a suitable candidate for them as they only offer standard breast augmentations. As I'm interstate, this involved the usual photos from every angle to be sent for review by the plastic surgeons who are Dr Craig Layt and Dr Luke Stradwick who operate this business under the name of the Breast Academy. Soon after i received my recommendation that i was booking myself in and playing the waiting game.
For those that don't know Dr Craig Layt and Dr Luke Stradwick with the Breast Academy are offering affordable breast augmentations to girls like me who didn't want to have to travel overseas to say Thailand. What makes them different to other affordable surgeries is that these are actual plastic surgeons not cosmetic surgeons and so helps put your mind at ease that they have done the necessary study to get where they are today.
In my initial recommendation i was assigned Dr Justin Perron to be my plastic surgeon who would be under the guidance of either Dr Craig Layt or Dr Luke Stradwick however upon my actual consultation i was assigned to Dr Kim Chan with the supervision on Dr Lyat. Both of these blokes are fantastic and cannot fault a single thing with my initial consultation. They are so easy going yet serious which was great.
In order for the Breast Academy to keep costs realistic and affordable to us, the client they hold a group information session with others who are in the same position as you. Don't get me wrong at first I thought i was a little strange but when i got there and met the other girls, it was great. Esp when it came to asking questions. Some had others i hadn't thought of and was a great way to put my mind at ease that i wasn't doing this alone haha
So i was sized up, ready to go with surgery booked for the next day and i was excited.
I guess Ive spoken quite a bit now, but what i really wanted to get out there was how great this whole process was to me. I cannot fault the CosMediTour ladies i dealt with nor can i fault all the amazing staff i came into meeting with the Breast Academy. They def put my mind at ease with everything and made the whole process so simple and stress free.
Any how i'm happy to give any more info on my actual experience and how things went and any other info that i know to others who are interested in getting their BA with CosMediTour or the Breast Academy. Will put some pics up soon when i can so you can see the great work. Mind you im only like 3 weeks haha
Still cant believe i waited so long!

Hi, I'm having my surgery through cosmeditour on the 27th March but have my consultation and the group meeting you spoke of next Tuesday. I haven't seen many reviews for the Gold Coast cosmeditour so it's nice to see a good review! How did you find recovery? Did you have to get the pain meds before surgery? I guess they'll tell me what I need?! I have to say I'm very nervous about recovery and what size to go. I've never had any boobs, can't even imagine what I'll look like with them! X

Hi!
That's great to hear your booked ready to go. You must be so excited! The whole reason I write my review the way I did as I really struggled to find any information on the Gold Coast service that CosMediTour use and I will admit that it stressed me out a little esp as I was travelling interstate. So I'm happy to provide you any information on my experience to put you at ease.
I found my recovery really good. I wasn't sure what to expect but I feel I did a lot better than I thought I would. I will admit that when I left the hospital that day I went straight to woolies for some last minute grocery shopping if that says anything if what you may feel like afterwards. I was given my medication after my surgery when I awoke with instructions all written down and a pain diary they requested me too keep which I found handy too. They told me that the local anesthetiser would take a few days to wear off and so for the first two days I had no pain which I thought was odd considering what I had just been through. And then only took them at night a few times cause I felt I should but when I think about it I wasn't in enough pain to take codine forte so I stopped. Pressure... Like an elephant sitting on you. Pressure on my chest is all I felt and if you don't have abs, you will soon when all you can use are your abs to get up out of bed, out of your chair, up out if anything!! Haha so it's a win win.
I've had small boobs my whole life mixed with crazy padded bras. I did go bigger than I wanted but now that I look at them I love them. And I love that I have no padded bras.
It's hard to imagine and took my a while to get used yo then being there. They kind of get in the way but I guess time will fix that haha.
Happy to answer any more questions you have. I had such a great experience that I'm keen to share with whoever. I just wish I didn't wait 10 years!! xx

Hi
Thank you so much for your review. I am booked at the Goldcoast for 10 April with Dr Justin Perron. I searched on this site for any information that might be available about Cosmeditour as I do not know anyone who has used them and couldn't find too much information. It has put my mind at ease that you have had such a positive experience. I look forward to hearing more about your recovery!

Hello!
No problems. I found next to no information when I was initially booking myself in and was very worried. Now that I have been through the process I knew I had to share my experience for others and pass on the piece of mind.
My recovery has been going pretty well. It's been two months now. Life is pretty much back to normal few weird pains every now and then but it's been great. Best decision ever. I bet your excited! It's so soon!!

So finally have had some time to put up the pics.
Like I said before I was approx a 12B looking to become a 12D
Now that I think back on the whole experience I remember when I was sitting in the office with Dr Chan getting measured up and trying on various implant sizes. We were having a laugh because he said to put them into my bra to see what I thought and I immediately said I couldn't as I only ever wear padded bras and that this wouldn't work. I guess may be an option for every one else is to bring in a non padded bra or something when you go for your consultation and measure up.
I have a little bit of asymmetry which I wanted to have corrected. Dr Chan agreed it was small but was happy to have this corrected as it is what I wanted and so I effectively ended up with round Allergen Natrelle Cohesive Silicon Gel implants of 345cc in my left and 385cc in my right. I also think the profile for the right breast is a full projection implant to make up the difference and shape. So different implants in each boob to achieve a pretty good result.
With the 3D Vectra imaging, it calculated that I would end up approx a 12DD which was bigger then I wanted but still went with it. I'm not going to lie. When I got home that night which was the night before surgery I was worried that I had chosen too big but decided it was too late to change. Now that its been 4 weeks and most of the swelling has gone down I so happy with the result that I'm glad they are the size they are. Phew
