Cannot recommend Dr Craig and the team enough! They looked after me every step of the way and I felt really cared for and safe. The surgical results were incredible and Dr Craig listened to my expectations and took into account my bodyshape as an individual and lifestyle. Amazing surgeon!
Dr Layt and his team are fantastic. I can not recommend him highly enough. The whole experience for my surgery was comfortable, calm, professional and safe. He ensured that I was making the right decision for my body and lifestyle
I'd been quite unhappy with my big saggy breasts for the past 5 years, even not wanting to show them anymore. I've had big boob's my whole life and a lot of weight fluctuations over the years because of my health & different medications. I'm not a mother but it looked like I'd had 3 kids. I really enjoy working out & seeing the changes in my body shape but my boob's were just looking worst the more weight I lost & really bringing me down by not letting me be proud or comfortable with my body. It's such a relief not having these huge things hanging off me anymore & it actually makes me look a lot younger & fitter. So I'm very glad I went ahead with the operation. I'll be having my one year Post Op appointment soon 4th of Dec, I can't believe it's been nearly a year already it went so fast. The only thing I'm not happy with are the small dog ears that I still have so will be asking my Surgeon about what we can do about those soon as they are still bothering me. But overall my healing has been quite good. It was pretty painful the first week but after that it was bearable just really awkward to sleep upright as I'm nomally a side sleeper lol I only took the strong meds I was prescribed for a week then just relied on normal paracetamol every 4 hrs for a cpl more weeks. Since having the last stitches removed I've been using Strataderm gel on my scars, I applied it religiously every night for the first 6 months and each night I haven't been too tired & remember now. I'd like to tag my Pre Op Pics, Post Op pics and nearly 1 year after pics I just took now to help others decide if a lift is what they want. When I was researching for mine I couldn't find a lot of Breastlift photos of women with my size & shapped boobs so want to share mine
Dr Layt has performed surgery on me twice now. Initially placing breast implants in 2013 and recently removing them with a mastopexy I can not recommend him and his team enough. Makes you feel very comfortable, give you all the information you require and is a really nice down to earth man.
Age old story of a girl who gained too much weight, a lot of it in my chest, lost it and had big saggy breast’s. I decided to finally get the breast reduction I’d wanted since I reached a 12D at the age of 13 and kept on growing. The largest I got to was a 24EE and when I lost the weight I settled at 14E. So I’m just at the start of my journey, 4 days post-op and counting, but I’ll keep everyone updated! So far Dr Layt’s been fantastic at being realistic about the procedure and outcomes and very calming as I was heading into surgery. The pain has been minimal, I’m just waiting to get my bandages off to see the scarring and what we’re working with. So far I’m down to a 16C, because of the need for a loose band with the swelling, which means I’m likely to settle at a 14C - amazing! I’ve weaned off the pain medication, though I wish someone had told me to spread them out so I still had some to sleep on - trying to get to sleep when you’re healing, itchy and there’s a dull ache in your chest isn’t the best. Also if you’re anything like me, don’t let the painkillers convince you that you can do things! You’re not to lift ANYTHING over 2.5kgs for 4-6 weeks, don’t put your arms above your head for a similar amount of time and for all that’s good in the world don’t carry groceries or laundry baskets! That said, I have no regrets so far, less pain than I thought I’d have and am excited to see how they progress. Updated on 3 Jul 2019: So a week later and I’ve had my bandages removed and my water proof tape has been applied, can’t wait to have a shower! My nipples have never been so small and I’m excited to see how they settle. My week follow up appointment entailed getting the bandages/tape removed (thank god because my skin was starting to react to the adhesive), sutures snipped and sounds cleaned. Then I did a session under the lighting machine to promote healing and the water proof tape was applied. One thing I would recommend is making sure you save some painkillers for this visit, as they helped dull the few pain points of this visit. Updated on 8 Jul 2019: Today I got all of the tapes off and saw my scars for the first time. They Dr said they’ve healed really quickly, so they’ve switched me to the Siltape a few days earlier - here’s to reduced scarring! Hot tip, siltape needs to be taken off if you slightly sweat in and or get wet for any reason. However it loves to get stuck to your finders when taking it off, so pinch the non-stick side together and lay it down gently. I’ll check back in at 1 month, but so far no regrets! Already back to driving, cooking and wearing non-button ups...love my new chest. Updated on 23 Jul 2019: Well we’ve reached the one month mark and I’m back to work, most activities and driving. While I don’t do anything that engages my chest wall (no weights or push ups etc) and I still sleep on my back the healing is going well. I’m committed to wearing the post-surgical bras for 3 months and every night I wash my scars with anti-bacterial soap, before replacing the Siltape and moisture from my breasts. Keeping the tissue moist and supported is a key component to optimal recovery and my scarring is minimal. I’ve thrown two stitches, you can feel them poking out like fishing line when you run your hand over them. I have an appointment next week to have them removed by the surgical nurse, it’s super common and they don’t hurt. Every now and then I get twinges that feel similar to light period pain in my chest, other than that I can lift my arms over my head now and have no issues with range of motion. One thing I need to remember to be careful with is bouncing when I sit on the bed, always brings a twinge under my breast - never forget it takes 6-8 weeks for internal stitching to heal. There’s still a little swelling, but they say it takes 6 months for that to go and for the breasts to settle in their final shape. Still 110% happy with the choice I made and I’ll post an update at 3 months. Let me know if you have any questions I can answer and I’ll get back to you x Updated on 25 Sep 2019: I’ve reached the 3 month mark and it feels like an age ago that I had 14E breasts! My appointment with Dr Layt was quick and easy, he recommended that I use my siltape for a little longer to ensure my scars heal even faster. While I don’t love having to take the tape off every night, what’s a few months in a lifetime? I’m completely back to normal activity and am trying to shed the 4kg I gained after surgery...too much sugar and no exercise. A few things to note: • I still can’t lay on my stomach for long periods, I got an hour long massage and it was uncomfortable • I get twinges around the side of the scarring, it’s internal stitches healing and isn’t bad, just unexpected • I still won’t do any activity that requires jumping or running, but that’s preference as it takes 6mths for internal stitching to heal • I moisturise every night with Bio Oil over the siltape, with Lush Rose Argon body condition to minimise the redness • WEAR THE BRA, just do it, it helps don’t be silly and think you get go braless • I still sleep on my back, it’s more comfortable and I don’t worry about squishing them Long story short, take care of yourself. It’s such a small amount of time in the grand scheme of things and your healing needs to be prioritised. Updated on 25 Sep 2019: Also as a comment on my surgeon, I could not recommend Dr Layt highly enough! Besides the fact that’s he’s a great surgeon, he’s also clear and calm. He explained the outcomes, doesn’t waste your time, but makes you feel valued. While I can only speak from my own experience as someone who didn’t need their hand held through this process and did a lot of research prior to seeing a surgeon, I’m so thankful I chose him! Updated on 21 Nov 2020: It’s just over one year since my surgery and I can barely notice the scaring. While there’s been a bit of drop since they were freshly done my surgeon did warn me that would happen as the initial swelling boosts the perk. I’ve got a small keloid scar under my right breast from where I pulled a stitch trying to do laundry, but other than that the scarring is negligible. I would 100% do this again with my wonderful surgeon and wish I’d done it sooner.
I came to see dr layt after breast feeding for 20 months. He helped me regain fullness and shape in my breasts and get my confidence back. Three years later and I love my breasts! My experience was flawless- very happy!
LOVE The Layt Clinic I have been attending the clinic for over a year now for my skin concerns and my skin has never felt or looked so good! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my treatments. The staff are always welcoming, accommodating and make me feel comfortable. I also see Brooke for the treatment of teeth grinding - she is amazing at what she does.
I decided to get a breast lift as a result of sagging breast due to weight fluctuations and loss. I was left feeling extremely unhappy with my breasts and not confident to wear certain clothes. I was also left with pain in my breasts and was unable to ever no wear a bra. I have gone to Dr. Craig Layt in Southport. I will document the lift and the results, aswell as the implants which I am getting done as a 2 stages process. Updated on 13 Jul 2018: - Here are some more photos before my breast lift Updated on 13 Jul 2018: Going into hospital everything was completely calm. Saw the surgeon beforehand so he could draw up all the marking for the surgery and went straight to the hospital which was less than a 10 min drive. Was chilling on my phone before the surgery on my phone watching some Netflix until I saw the anaesthetist in which I knew I was about to go in. Woke up with more confusion than pain. First thing I did was look down at my boobs out of excitement to not see them falling into my armpits! I was over the moon! Went into the recovery room to eat my sandwich, get back into some easily put on clothes and put my post surgical bra on. The nurse then led me back to my mum who was there to pick me up in which she was completely shocked at how fine and not in pain I was and how I was able to walk! Updated on 13 Jul 2018: Day 1 after the surgery I was fine - and was actually quite shocked about how fine I felt. I had a prescription for some pain killers. However, I found I was completely fine just taking panadol during the day and only had some of the prescription pain killer at night just to help my sleep be a bit more comfortable and stop any tossing and turning that might occur. My friend came over to look after me and was in shock how vibrant I was. Made sure to have lots of rest, eat nutritious food, and drink water to help with healing and swelling. The main cause of the pain was the swelling from my breasts from the surgery. My friend thought I had gotten implants put in until I explained it was just swelling. You can see from the photos below. Them [RS bleep] be high!!! Updated on 13 Jul 2018: Updated on 13 Jul 2018: Went to the doctors in order to get the plastic dressings off my breasts from the initial surgery as well as the self-dissolving sutures snipped at the ends. I was so excited to see the look of my breasts, and I am so extremely happy with the fact I picked Dr. Layt as my surgeon. He really does do an excellent job. The yellowness on my skin is a result of the disinfectant used in surgery - had a slight amount of bruising on my nipples and in my breast fold (which is expected). Updated on 15 Jul 2018: Free of bandages and ready to start silicone treatment and LED lighting - yay!! After the first week, the nerve pain started to kick in. Felt a few zaps and burning sensation of the nipples - however, this has subsided. My left nipple is still bruised from surgery, that's okay though, as well as likes being a bit erect as the nerves are still acting up a little bit. I have cancelled my augmentation for now as my breast size and shape is looking excellent - extremely happy with the results and the healing process so far. Updated on 20 Aug 2018: Just showing another photo update - boobs are healing well and have been using silicone tape. Having pains when it comes to nerves here and there. Overall, still extremely happy with how everything is going. Updated on 27 Sep 2018: A little update of my surgery, I am 3 months post op! My breasts have definitely stopped being so swollen, not sure if I am happy about that or not as I do feel a little empty in the chest some days. The scars are maturing very nicely and am excited to see them not be as red and begin to fade. My scars are all flattened and there are no raised areas to the scars at all. Very happy and content :) will update a 6 month post op update when it comes time! Updated on 16 Oct 2018: Just showing the difference of my breasts after a lift in a normal bra vs a small push up bra. I am not a massive fan of push up bras so I only have a small push up bra, but just showing people the difference and how they do look good in a small pushup bra :)
My earliest memory of realising my breast were larger than. Penal was when I was 11 and was bullied in primary school for having to wear a bra. As you can imagine, it had been downhill from there. I'm currently a 38HH and hating life with these massive mammaries. I am now 33yrs old and have decided now is the time for me. To do something for myself. I waited so long to do due to wanting to have a child an at least try breast feeding, and thankfully I was able to successfully breast for 9mths. Albeit, with great difficulty as I was always worried about smothering my poor little baby with my boobs. It's pretty hard breast feeding with large breasts. But now, with my husbands inwaiverig support, we have pulled the trigger and are booked in for November 7th.....and I can't. Fricken. Wait!!!! Updated on 3 Oct 2017: Well [RS bleep]. We are all booked in. I say 'we' because me and 'the girls' equal more than 1 person, surely. Ha. So my PS assumes that he cold be removing anywhere from 1.5-2kgs from my chest. Sweet baby j, that's a lot of tissue. He's hoping to get my to a D-DD and I am fricken pumped. It's all hedging on one tiny problem though. CHRONIC PERIDUCTAL MASTITIS ???? I have an absolutely gorgeous little blonde tornado that just turned 2 yesterday and 'no' I am not still breast feeding her and 'yes' I did stop breastfeeding her at 10mths old. So why is this still a problem, you ask? Well f*cked if I know. Your guess is as good as mine. I've been hospitalised twice. I have been on every single antibiotic you can think of. None worked. Its gone as far as abscessing twice. The first time I had an incision drainage (on my left areola) and that 1cm incision took 5mths to heal as there was still a pus collection forming and weeping out of the incision point. Finally it healed over and for 2 whole months I had no more pain, extreme nipple sensitivity (it was right under my nipple) I thought it had cleared up and I was stoked. Then just as I decided to make steps to get a breast reduction, it reared its ugly head again and abscessed and literally burst out of the incision site scar tissue the day before I went to consult with my PS for the first time. F*cking great. Quite disgusting too. However, that seems to have been a blessing in disguise as he was able to clean it out for me and hit the core of the cyst with some silver nitrate. The silver nitrate causes the cyst cavity to form into a small, solid lump. After two or three days the silver nitrate and cyst remains fall out on their own. It basically cauterises the site. He did all of this with no anaesthetic either. Frickin killed me. However, it seems it may have been worth every shiver that was sent down my spine as it's healed up in record time. Now obviously my surgery is dependant on it healing because if there is ANY pus/infection present at the time of surgery, obviously there's no way in hell he will operate. So fingers crossed for my final appointment with my PS on the 27th October. I hope he gives me the all clear!! ???????????????????? Updated on 4 Oct 2017: So I wear a 38HH, however, as you can see I get some spillage over the top of the cup. I imagine I’m somewhere in the realms of an ‘I’ There’s just no point going to get sized. Nowhere stocks my size and most bras I have bought online are somewhere in the vicinity of $100 and usually are a terrible fit and quite painful. So basically, I gave up. Updated on 6 Oct 2017: My horrible boobs. Can’t wait to finally be rid of this pain. My neck, upper and lower back, the headaches, the rashes. I’m so done Updated on 27 Oct 2017: 9 more sleeps. Can’t believe it. I’m so ready!!! Not looking forward to managing my 2yr not being able to have cuddles :( Thankfully my husband is taking 2wks off work to help me focus on healing x Updated on 1 Nov 2017: I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to have my period. This means I will be period for free for approximately 3wks post op. Could not be happier. My husband was not looking forward to the prospect of having to ‘help’ me out with that haha 4 more sleeps eek Updated on 5 Nov 2017: So my op is scheduled for 6:15am tomorrow morning and I’m still waiting for the nervousness to hit me. I’m not even anxious or anything. I’m usually pretty unflappable but I absolutely anticipated a minor freak out to be had by now. Haha. I think I’ve just waited so long for this, I’m just ready for it to happen. Wish me luck :) Updated on 7 Nov 2017: So ladies, I did it!!! Wow. What a trip. I wasn't nervous at all walking into the OR but when I woke up in pain, that's when it became real!! Why they put the post op bra on after you wake up is beyond me. That was so painful. I don't have any tapes on as I seem to react to bandage adhesives so I was glued. Had my next day check up and it was all good. I am currently wearing a D cup bra. A D CUP!!!! Crazy talk. I was wearing an HH 2 days ago!! Wow. So I'm in a tonne of pain. It's mostly a bruising type pain but I already feel like it's so worth it Updated on 9 Nov 2017: Happy as a pig in [RS bleep]!!! Dr Layt has done a beautiful job on my breasts and I couldn't be happier. My recovery, so far, has been pretty straight forward. Pain and bruising but that's all to be expected. I was able to put my hair up today and I also was able to apply some make up as even had some friends over for dinner. Definitely did not think I'd be able to do any of those things 3 days in but here we are :) Updated on 12 Nov 2017: So went for my 1wk post op appointment today. My PS and the nurse were both super happy with the way my itty bitty [RS bleep] are healing. No need to change dressings as I never had any. My incisions were glued due to my skin reacting to bandage adhesives. But only on my boobs. No where else on my body do I react. Just my tata's. Typical. Anyway, went really well and he said I can start to use the silicone tape by this weekend. Thank god as I can't stand the feeling of the support bra rubbing on my incisions and it's just so damn tight. Youch. I had a pretty tough day regarding my bowels today. (TMI ahead) So pain meds make you suuuuper constipated and I did everything to try and help that (ate prunes, drank stool softener daily) but just couldn't loosen up. Then finally today the dam walls broke and holy [RS bleep] it was horrendous. I had the sweats, felt nauseous and could not leave the bathroom. It was terrible. I was on the way to my PS appointment when I was overcome with the urge to 'evacuate'.....IMMEDIATELY!!! I was so distressed and was yelling and screaming at more poor husband to pull over to the side of the road so I could awkwardly walk/jog/walk/jog to the public toilet I'd spotted. I was petrified that I was going to release the kraken all over the passenger seat of the car!! Mortifying. Thankfully now it's subsided and I feel a bit better. Still bloated but better. Overall still really stoked. No regrets. I'd do it again and again. The way clothes fit me now, is so exciting and uplifting. I'm going shopping for bralettes tomorrow. I have a new lease on life. Still have a fair bit of pain and discomfort but it's still so worth it xx Updated on 13 Nov 2017: I don't think I've mentioned how much they removed from breasts. So here goes. Right Breast - 1022gms removed Left Breast - 777gms removed I can't believe it. That's 1.8kgs in total. 4lbs for those on the imperial system!!! Wowsers!!!!!! I'm going to love stepping on the scales now!!! It's also motivated me to work on mid section a bit more now. On and up from here Updated on 13 Nov 2017: Guys.......I just bout had the most joyous meltdown in the Kmart fitting rooms. I could have squealed. Firstly, never did I ever ever ever consider that possibility of buying Updated on 14 Nov 2017: Seriously, this is the most body confident I have ever felt EVER!!! And I have frankentitties!! That's saying something for my confidence pre-op. Nonexistent. I love the way they look and feel in these teensy tiny bra tops. Seriously, these things were 2 for $12!!!! Are you taking the [RS bleep]!!!! 2for $12!!!!!! I was lucky to walk away with an ill fitting suit of armour for $90 a week ago!! Life is beautiful in the ITTY BITTY [RS bleep] COMMITTEE!!! Yayayayayayay Updated on 16 Nov 2017: Day 9 and still loving life. I have started cleaning, cooked a pork roast dinner for my family and our neighbours and I’m just generally getting around a lot better. I have had my hair done, had two beach BBQ’s, friends over for nibbles and drinks and more. I have not taken any pain meds for about 3 Days now. It’s just general discomfort now. Not really any pain unless you stretch too much or try to pick something up like a washing basket or a toddler Lol. Sadly, I’m still unable to pick up or hug my poor little 2yr old babe. I just get in all the kisses I can to try and fill the ‘cuggle’ void in my heart. I have had 3 showers and 1 bath since surgery. Bathing still freaks me out a bit. I feel exposed and vulnerable when I don’t have a bra/crop on. Definitely prefer the bath. I’m much more able to shave in the bath. Very, very, very happy so far!!! :) Updated on 23 Nov 2017: Hi ladies. I have had a minor breakdown in the wound healing in my right breast at the horizontal/vertical t-junction and has opened slightly. It’s only minor and has that light greens tinge to it and is slightly odorous. Has anyone had to care for a wound like this? What did you have to do? Only asking as I don’t want to have to go all the way to my PS only to be told to put some antiseptic on it and a gauze. Thanks gals x Updated on 24 Nov 2017: So I’ve had a bit of a setback in my healing. It seems I’ve had a reaction to the surgical glue and it’s caused quite a bit of irritation on my incisions. I met with my PS and they removed all the glue, cleaned out the opening and even pulled and trimmed some internal stitches. I’m now unable to wear any tapes and I have to rub antiseptic in my incisions 3x per day and wear in my compression bra. Bit of a bummer but I guess it could be worse :( Updated on 27 Nov 2017: I have this terribly itchy, red rash/irritation on my breasts. Not on my unisons but just on the outer sides of my breasts. I’m not sure what’s causing it. Maybe it’s just the stretch of the skin after being pulled together. I’m not sure, but f#%k me it’s sooooo itchy and it’s driving me absolutely bonkers. Has anyone had this? I’ve re-washed all my bras with zero laundry liquid, extra hot and multiple rinse cycles to ensure I’m not irritated by my the laundry liquid. However, the itch persists. IT FECKIN PERSISTS!!!!! Help!!!!! Updated on 1 Dec 2017: So I went to my PS yesterday to check that my wounds haven’t gotten any worse and to make sure that they are in fact healing........ and yes, they are!!!! Yay!!!! All the dressing changes and the incredible amount of Betadine antiseptic that I’ve been using has paid off. Updated on 6 Dec 2017: It’s been 4wks since surgery and there have been a few little hiccups along the way (nothing major but it’s all relative) but no e are fully on the mend. I’m really happy with how everything is progressing at the moment. Here are a few photos to show you :) Updated on 17 Dec 2017: Honestly, I never thought I’d ever feel comfortable enough to walk around braless, let alone actually look good braless. Wonders continue to not cease ;) Overall I feel really good. There’s no more pain at all. I still have no feeling in either of my nipples, however they do seem to get erect, so that’s positive. There’s still plenty of time for the sensation to return. Fingers crossed. Updated on 17 May 2018: Thought I’d post an update on how everything has settled in. Healing has gone well and I’m happy with the results :) NO REGRETS
I absolutely could not be happier with my breast life and implant results from dr layt . I am now four months post op, have absolutely minimal scars, and my breasts look perky, yet natural and the perfect size for my body type. I am petite , 5 '2 and 47kg.. I lost about ten kgs and from always having larger breasts (around a d -double d ) exercising, yo yo dieting , being on and off pill , my beasts sagged.. where I was so flat up top and all breast tissue down bottom. I wanted to restore the perkiness for my age , 27 years old , as well as restore fullness up top. I'm now an 8e after having 275cc round under the muscle implants. They are the perfect size for a dress up dress down breast .. and I can't believe how light the scars are . My breast have dropped to look and feel natural and it's the best chocie I ever made going with dr layt and his surgical skills. I have serve all consults where he listened to what I wanted to achieve - and helped me decide on implant size. I had minimal pain post op, was on panadol on day 1 after surgery - and could clean house , go to dinner and wash my own hair one day after. Dr layt was so gentle , proving minimal down time , pain and I would do it all over again in a second. I'd recommend anyone wanting to have a breast lift to go to dr layt. I'm going to be getting a rhinoplasty through him next . Have a look at my photos :)
Thanks for your question. You do appear to have tuberous breasts with quite lateral nipples. Generally the best treatment for this is a breast augmentation with a periareolar lift as the periareolar lift decreases the projection of the breast and flattens the areolar. From the photos you may be able to use an IMF approach(fold) for placement of the implant and a scar around the implant to reduce the areola.Often a medicare rebate applies with approval. The quote is in the usual ballpark from a good surgeon. Costs are 14k+ roughly. Hope that helps. Good luck
Non surgical rhinoplasty can be a good option for someone like you. Some filler in the radix gives a more balanced view in patients such as yourself. Surgical rhinoplasty will always give a more complete result but it depends on your attitude. With newer fillers they last a long time and as they tend to be slower to resort in the nose can last for a few years in many cases. If you don't like it then they can be dissolved. Talk to a plastic surgeon familiar with both surgical and non surgical rhinopl
Tip rhinoplasty alone is unlikely to cause black eyes. In fact with modern osteotomy techniques black eyes are generally minimal even in full rhinoplasty these days. Avoiding anything that thins your blood will also help as will using Arnica. Good luck
Thank you for your question. The treatment depends on the exact problem. If it is just excess fat then either liposuction or Coolsculpting will be a good treatment. Liposuction can remove fat but does not address excess skin. If your arms are more fatty rather than loose skin but have good skin tone then Coolsculpting may also be suitable. Coolsculpting is a treatment available in rooms. It involves applying a device to the area where fat is to be reduced. The device cools the fat and tissues to a point that a fat cells are frozen and a percentage of these then die. Over the next few months, the body will eliminate the dead cells. If you have poor skin quality or significant excess skin then you may require an arm lift or brachioplasty. This is a surgical option to reduce fat and skin from the arms. This procedure may be recommended after significant weight loss or ageing. The procedure will result in scars which extend from the inner aspect of the elbow up into the axilla(armpit). We can use a number of techniques and post operative dressings and creams to help minimise the scarring as much as possible. The surgical procedure is usually done as a day procedure. Hope this helps.
