Open Septorhinoplasty by Mr Natarajan Balaji - Glasgow, Scotland

I’m seeing a new consultant to fix issues relating to the original septorhinoplasty. Once swelling has subsided, it was apparent that there was a small, sharp bump on my bridge and the cartilage at the tip of nose is squint. I’m hoping to get a revision to fix this.

Mr Natarajan Balaji preformed an open septo-rhinoplasty on me to straighten my septum, reshape a bulbous tip and remove a hump to create a more aesthetic nose. His skills, knowledge and manner are second to none, and as soon as I met him, I knew he was the right person to perform my surgery. Firstly, he went in to great detail on my consultation about the surgery, the risks involved and was incredibly realistic about my final results. He never once pressured me into having the surgery, and saw me several times to ensure I was confident and happy with my decision, which showed his genuine interest in my well-being. His bed-side manner was fantastic, both on the day of the surgery and the day I was discharged.

My bruising was very minimal, and I could see a huge difference from the minute I got the cast off. The hump is completely gone, my nose is slimmer and straight (it used to lean to the left), yet it is still my nose and completely suits the shape of my face. Friends and family notice it, but not in a way that it’s changed my face or looks, just how good it now looks in comparison to before. On my first consultation, I asked for a slight slope but Mr Balaji explained how this would make my nose look shorter as it wouldn’t suit my face shape. I’m so glad he explained this, as it changed my mind and I am so happy with the results.

I cannot put into words how grateful I am, and I feel so privileged that Mr Balaji performed my surgery. It is surpassed my expectation, and I am much more confident. Overall, an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend Mr Balaji, and the team at Ross Hall.
