Post-treatment, very dark purple/red, itchy and getting worse

Not very happy with this treatment thus far. Perhaps it's that the aesthetician who did the treatment did a poor job of preparing me for potential outcome or used too strong of a setting. I am 2 days out and the splotches on my arms where I had the treatment are steadily worsening.

They are a dark purple with red edges and also itch and hurt. I'm not sure if this is even normal but was definitely not told that this would happen. I'm worried about whether it may scar. I thought this treatment had "no down time." Luckily it's my arms and I can wear long sleeves not my face or I would definitely be having some downtime right now. Scary but it could also just be this provider's potential incorrect use of the device. I don't know.
