Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Terrible Experience
Dr. Kayaba?o?lu is a good surgeon but runs a terrible business...
My experience this year having a revision surgery was unprofessional, scary and lacked proper medical care.
Dr. Kayaba?o?lu is a skilled surgeon, however this does not compensate for arrogance, entitlement and a lack of bedside manner. ( for example bragging about personal achievements and a 20k rug in your office).
The surgeons staff are young, unprofessional, immature and inexperienced to be dealing with medical patients.
From the moment I walked in the door it was about the mone. The first sentence after hell was about payment being made in full - even though I had already paid a deposit for my surgery and an additional consultation fee.
The doctor hadn't seen me, assessed me or ensured that I was healthy and suitable for the surgery.
The medical paperwork had spelling mistakes (on a legal document), it was poorly drafted and I was being pressured to sign statements and pages that were blank and to be filled in afterwards- something I denied doing.
I was pressured to sign all of this prior to seeing the doctor - to which I refused.
I was ordered medication to which I wasn't aware of and arrived the same day as my face to face meeting.
I didn't agree to any medication being ordered on my behalf and I also wasn't aware or agreed upon the cost of the medication - the staff simply asked for my credit card to pay.
When I expressed that I was annoyed about the lack of information regarding which hospital I was having my operation, days, times, payment was to be made in USD not EURO, medications etc. (very important info. for surgery) the assistant accused me of being aggressive and sexist.
(to put it in perspective I'm a gay man with 3 sisters I've never in my life been accused of anything like this, especially that random and baseless, I was shocked).
I raised my concerns with the practice manager and the new assistant I asked for - nothing was escalated or done regarding such poor behaviour.
The day of my surgery the anaesthesiologist came to see me for a brief moment, but no one else.
I was put on to the operating table by rude and aggressive staff who treated me like a rag-doll.
The anaesthetist and surgeon were late so I was laying on the operating table whilst being strapped down by my wrists and legs and hooked up to machines, being draped etc - something that is usually done once you are sedated and is very distressing to witness awake.
The anaesthesiologist had his junior/assistant put me to sleep without introducing him or saying a word to me and without my permission for someone other than the anaesthesiologist perform this procedure.
I asked them politely to stop and asked where the surgeon was. they were confused and appeared shocked that the surgeon hadn't come to see me yet.
They retrieved the surgeon who maybe go the wrong impression that I was anxious and not that it was common practice, respectful and courteous to see your patient before putting them to sleep.
If I hadn't I would've arrived and left without ever knowing who has operated on me, a very odd and uncomfortable thought....
I told that there would be a English nurse during my consultation at home, when I got to Istanbul, when I got to the hospital and when I woke up... no English nurse.
I had this happen during my last surgery in Istanbul and I especially asked and was assured they would speak English as its extremely distressing not being able to tell someone you're in pain or your needs - I would go as far as to say it was traumatic.
After care medication was not explained to me... at discharge the same day of surgery, whilst still sedated I had to ask and track down the assistant and nurse to explain the dosages, duration of medication treatment, when to take etc. all basic information that should've been given to me. The organisation and basic medical care was lacking.
There is a whole list of other reasons I would highly discourage this surgeon but I simply don't have the time to list everything.
I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I did,
If anyone has any questions feel free to search my name and dm on social media.
