I stumbled upon this procedure while looking at a celebrity that use to have a large forehead, then I noticed it looked smaller. Further research led me to this website which was really helpful. My first choice was Dr.Kabaker but at the time my work schedule wouldn't allow me to have the expander put in for a few weeks. And he was getting ready to retire soon. During our consultation I was left feeling sad because I really wanted his hands to bless my big head. He ended up referring me to Dr.Epstein , who I also did my research on , and he's local. He wasn't my first choice because I didn't see as many reviews as Dr.Kabaker on this site . During my consultation with Dr. Epstein he said I didn't need an expander but if I wanted it lower then I could get it. I decided not to go with the expander because of work reasons , but I do have the option to lower it with grafting at a later time. I'm super nervous because my hairline is thin, which concerns me a lot . The second line at the top of my forehead is where he said he can bring it down. The last line above my eyebrows is where it would be with an expander. I hope my scar is not noticeable with my thin hairline and this will allow me to wear my hair pulled back . I'll update once I'm out of surgery!

How did it go?? Please tell me LOL. I do want 'tis surgery and your "old forehead" is similar to my now.

I'm 3 days post and the top of my head is numb. My head hurts on and off . Since the surgery I've woken up in the middle of the night to take pain meds., I had my follow up today where I got my hair washed and it hurt. Dr. Epstein lowered my forehead 2cm but he wanted to do 3cm , I didn't have enought elasticity for that . It can be done later on with graphing. I go back next week to get my stiches out . I can't wait until the swelling goes down so I can see the real results

Hi how is your recovery going? Can you post pics?. My hairline is thin also and I am an African American girl as well. I am very curious how the recovery is for us?

I am not looking forward to getting my hair washed! With the post-op pain and the amount of new growth I will have I know it will be uncomfortable.

My scar healed really well. The only thing I’m not liking is the empty areas on both sides of my head. I had some hair grafted there , but I definitely need some more . I’ll be following up with the doctor soon to see what options I have to fill in those bald areas

hello dear i am sure you saw my forehead reduction, i was one of the first to risk for this surgery... I am sooooo happy now,, it literally took 5years off my face...
so the reason I send you a message is to advice you.. the side lines will go away do not worry... just keep taking the vitamins your doctor adviced,,, check out on my post i have all vitamins in a picture.. you loook soooo beautiful!!!
