Dr. Epstein is great! Went to him to get a forehead reduction surgery since I’ve been insecure about my large forehead my entire life. He did such a great job, looks super natural and you can’t even tell I got anything done! Definitely recommend!!!

Pics Post Surgery

Here’s some pics post-procedure! :) Overall, my scar is hardly noticeable unless I have my hair pulled back. I do think I’m experiencing some hair loss (the Dr. warned me there COULD be some shock loss from getting my scalp cut open), but I’m not worried because he did tell me it’ll come back. Overall I am SO pleased with the results and have no regrets. Going back to get hair grafting done in September, and I can also post pics then once I’m all healed.

Hey thanks for sharing your story. I'm considering going to him as well. You said your pain was higher In the airport , how soon after survey did you leave Miami and how soon after did you return to normal
daily ativities ?
Also why are you returning for hair grafting, is that necessary for this procedure ?

Hey, of course! Yes, my pain was higher in the airport because I had gotten up from my gate area to buy some snacks with my carry on bags, which you're not supposed to do (I went by myself so I had no choice, had to watch my stuff). My pain was a 4/10 at that point, but I took the meds he gave me and after about an hour on the plane, I was totally fine.
I got this surgery done on Thursday, March 11th at 11am I think and was done by 1pm (took about an hour and a half, just don't remember that exact time slot). I went back to my hotel room and actually had the nurse Cindy take care of me. She works in the office and charges $250 to spend the night- from 5/6pm to 12am. Not cheap but if you're going alone like I did, girl, you're already paying thousands of dollars to get the surgery done and she will do any heavy lifting for you and more, it's worth it to have a companion and caretaker for your recovery, but up to you if you'd actually use her. I flew back home the next morning (Friday, March 12th), and had someone from the airport staff wheel me to my gate. I had a huge bandage wrapped around my head- you're allowed to take it off the next morning but I kept mine on so that no one asked questions and they'd know I was in recovery for something haha. I was back in NY by 1pm and by 4pm I just passed out in bed at home. Then I just slept the rest of that weekend, honestly.
The Dr. says you can go back to work the next day, but I would personally give it a week. I wasn't in severe pain at all, but after getting your scalp cut open, I promise you, you WILL be tired the first few days. Your body needs time to get used to the change from the procedure, you're going to need a lot of sleep. I would highly recommend taking some days off and just taking it easy- no strainous exercises or bending for at least a week afterwards, I personally went for two weeks just to keep it safe. It's been a month and my head still feels numb- which is normal- but I'm working again, running about, I feel totally fine.
As for the hair grafting, it's not a necessary part 2. If you have thin hair like I do, he would probably suggest it to cover up the scar (which you will definitely have) or to round out the hairline some more. I haven't seen the full results yet because it's only been a month (takes 3 months for new hairs to grow in), but I do want my head to be even smaller, so that's why I've decided to do that.
I'm not sure if you've had a consultation with Dr. Epstein (I believe I paid $200- goes towards the procedure tho), but he will let you know what is or is not necessary for you. Just take the Dr's advice- he gives you a list of vitamins you can't take before the surgery- take 2,000 mg of vitamin C, clean the area and apply the ointment he gives you, give yourself time to heal and you'll be fine. I stressed out before my surgery because I went alone, and girl.....it honestly all went down so smoothly. Just remember, a few months of recovery for a lifetime of a smaller forehead!! That's what's been helping me get thru the healing process.
Hope this is helpful- lmk if you have any other questions! xo

Can I ask your overall price
June 2, 2021
Hi! My overall price for surgery was $7,400- the surgery was $7,200 and I was charged for a consultation as well, which is $200. The consultation goes towards the surgery cost itself, but just to luk. I also flew in to Fl from NY and stayed at a hotel, so that obviously added up my costs but not by much, since it was during Covid. Hope this helps! xx

Before Photo

Here’s a photo of what my forehead looked like before. It isn’t great quality but don’t feel comfortable showing my entire face on the Internet post-Surgery. Dr. Epstein lowered forehead a little under an inch, You can definitely see a difference in my after photos. Hope this helps, feel reach out if you have any more questions :)
