How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

7 Week Update
7 weeks since op on Tuesday. Apologies for using the same ‘before’ shot - I don’t have many pics of me with my old forehead out, surprisingly ;-)
Healing well. Has been super itchy lately though.

3 Weeks Post
Just wanted to do a mini update, as tomorrow I will be 3 weeks post. I have lots of little hairs growing through the scar, and with make up covering it it’s pretty much undetectable.
Still so happy with my decision. I think my hair has thinned a bit at the front, but nothing too terrible. I’m still using the Regaine religiously, so I’m sure it will sort itself out.

Finally - a Normal Size Head!
I had hairline lowering surgery with Dr. Bran on Tuesday 6th July.
I know surgery is never an 'easy' choice, but it still amazes me that it is possible to pay someone with the expertise to change something that you have spent your life feeling self conscious about. You turn up, go to sleep and wake up with basically a new head!
My hairline originally measured 8cm (!) and Dr Bran managed to remove 2.5 - 3cm. The procedure didn't worry me, I was most nervous of having the GA but it was absolutely fine! Everyone there was a dream. Recovery was also fine - I felt no pain and no nausea.
My stitches are due to come out on Thursday 15th July, and I think that's when it will really hit me that I have finally had it done. At the moment, due to the stitches, it almost looks like I'm wearing a small headband, or at least that's how I think of it! I know the scar will be noticeable for a few months, but I cannot wait to get rid of the stitches and see my new forehead in all it's glory. I do keep marvelling at the fact that I can now only fit four fingers on my forehead, as opposed to my whole hand!
I haven't had any pain over the past three days - just a feeling of tightness in my scalp which is to be expected. I have felt quite tired, but again that's to be expected in recovery, plus there's a fair few meds you have to take which I believe contributes to the feeling of lethargy.
Dr. Bran has been lovely from start to finish. He really understands what a big decision this surgery is, and it really feels like he is on your side. When I first started researching this procedure, I came across reviews for Dr. Bran on here and I knew he was the surgeon for me. I'm so glad I listened to my gut!
