WORTH IT
I emailed Dr. Kaufman's staff after my friend recommended him, reading his glowing reviews, and more importantly seeing his before/after gallery. I live overseas in London, but am from California and wanted a surgeon I could trust near Sacramento, where my parents live. Initially I thought of going to a big city like LA or SF for best results, but my friend recommended Dr. Kaufman so highly, and I was impressed with his background/education and photos, so I thought I'd shoot him an email. Once I felt comfortable choosing Dr. Kaufman, the office staff coordinated everything with me, and it all went smoothly logistically.
SO glad I chose this doctor! Although I live overseas, he made every effort to keep in touch with me, and respond very fast to any of my emails. Dr. Kaufman is calm, intelligent, observant, and an absolute expert.
During the day of surgery, my nurse Kate was just outstanding - so kind, supportive and just a downright sweetheart... Kate made such a positive impact on the big day! My anesthesiologist put me at ease, and I could tell I was in excellent hands in that department as well.
The best part - the results! I LOVE my new boobies! I have done a lot of research, and I know I could not be happier with my outcome. I went a bit bigger, and swapped out my 10 year old saline implants with silicone. I trusted Dr. Kaufman's judgment, and am so happy with the size. Oh, I should also mention, I took one pain pill through the entire recovery - and I don't even think that was necessary. There was virtually no pain associated with my replacement. I was out driving, getting my hair cut, and meeting friends the next evening post-op.
Upon returning to London a week post-op, the doctor phoned again to check in on me. I emailed him a couple of times, and he emailed me right away! Wow! For such a busy, in-demand doctor, Dr. Kaufman really cares about each and every patient's happiness.
A small note about price - while you can always choose a cheaper doctor, and I toyed with the idea of going to Florida for a quick/cheap job, you get what you pay for. I love saving money, but I couldn't bring myself to risk my health and compromise my results for a couple thousand dollars. I wanted this done well, and not have to worry about a revision.
I cannot recommend Dr. Kaufman highly enough, his work and these many glowing reviews speak volumes.
