Phenomenally Skilled Surgeon

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Riedler. After another surgeon cut and damaged several branches of my facial nerve during a facelift, I was left with a face that pulled to the left, my speech was slurred and I could not pucker my lips or drink from a straw. I would even drool if I took too big of a sip. It was incredibly difficult both physically and emotionally as I tried to work and friends asked me if I had a stroke.
Dr. Riedler with her expertise as an Otolaryngologist and facial plastic surgeon stepped in to perform highly technical nerve repairs. I've had a remarkable recovery and at 6 months out I am still improving. I can drink from a straw again and my smile is symmetric.
She didn't just perform a technically difficult surgery- she followed up with me multiple times and during one visit spent over 40 minutes patiently explaining what I should do and not do to achieve the best outcome. Her combination of surgical skill, compassion and commitment to patient care is truly exceptional. Dr. Riedler gave me back not just function, but confidence again.
