I definitely recommend Dr. Carmona

I have been considering this for a few years. I finally decided to have it done. I'm a US transplant living in Playa del Carmen Mexico. I did research on a few different locations in Mexico. I did my due diligence, read many reviews, pics, the whole thing. I met with Dr.Carmona for a consultation then I waited a couple weeks to think about, do more research, etc. I scheduled another consultation with him after a brief USA visit. I had more questions that I forgot to ask first time. I'm happy I did. The doctor reassured me during our visit.
I scheduled my surgery for four days after second consult. I did all the required tests and ready to go. I was scared, nervous, all the emotions that lead to a major decision like this.
Danny, the excellent patient coordinator, reassured me that I'm in good hands. I showed up at the hospital at 6:30 am on Thursday. The anesthesiologist was informative, funny and very good at relaxing me. Next thing I knew I woke up several hours later with my head wrapped up like a mummy and my eyes also bandaged. I felt good. No pain. Being alone I felt helpless not being able to see and not fluent in Spanish. The after care was excellent. I was released about 10 am the next morning and on my way back to Playa del Carmen.
I looked at hundreds of pictures of people having same procedure but when you actually see I'd done to your face.... It's overwhelming.
I spent the next three days holed up in my condo. I prearranged meal prep and oversight with the owners of the condo. One of her staff helped me immensely through this process.
I had my eyelid stitches removed on Monday. That process is a little strenuous with someone working that closely to your eyes with a sharp object. But Dr. Carmona kept talking to me helping me get through it. Having the stitches removed was wonderful. My eyes felt 100% better immediately. I walked about 15 minutes to the bus station after. Using an umbrella to keep the sun off my surgical wounds. Which actually looked very good for the amount of work that I had. I will have another follow up visit in a couple weeks before flying to USA to attend a surprise birthday party for my son.
I am extremely happy with the results do far. The swelling has subsided but my neck is still rather tight. A lot of smoothies and small bites. I have been following after care instructions to the letter. I could not be happier at this point and time. I know it's a long process but I can already see fantastic results and more to come.
I definitely recommend Dr. Carmona. He is caring, intense and funny all in one. Excellent work by him and his staff. I'll try to post pictures if I can. I would be happy to talk to anyone that is considering this procedure with Dr Carmona and give honest feedback.

It's been just over two weeks. I am beginning to feel myself again. I'm very happy with results. My eyes are feeling and looking great. The bring bruising below then is almost gone. My neck is still tight. I'm finally able to open my mouth as normal. My smile is still a little crooked but I can see improvement every day.
