No scar after lower blepharoplasty, male, 52 - no follow-up but worth it

Excellent provider, facility and results. Lower eye surgery. I was able to book quickly and he had a lot of good advice. Surgery day he spoke with me before and after. I'm generally a young looking age 52 male, but the eyebags and excess skin on my lower eyes looked really bad. First off, I feel the procedure was totally worth it. I am 6 weeks post op now. Around us$1700 in Tijuana Mexico at Cosmed. Excellent facility, accessible and less than half the price of my US quote. Also, I like the idea of local anesthesia, faster recovery, lower risk, no IV, no catheter. I checked in around 8am for labs, and was being driven home by 3pm same day surgery complete. Very little discomfort. The Doctor, facility, and everyone was top shelf. I would 100% repeat. The biggest surprise to me was how quickly the signs of surgery went away! in 2 weeks people wouldn't even know. I had some concerns about having a permanent scar on my lash line as one eye showed a lot more trauma than the other, but over 6 weeks later now there is no scar. As part of this procedure they do pull up a lower muscle and stitch to an upper muscle in the outer corners. Look at my day 1 photo. This surprised me as I don't remember talking about that in my consultation. I was a little concerned my eye corners were going to look very modified and un natural. But, 6 weeks later that look good. In the points of the stiches there are some tiny balls I feel under the skin that have slowly been shrinking and now almost don't exist. Also, redness in the corners also slowly going away. The tenderness and tightness of the underlaying muscles is also almost completely gone. I am anticipating there will be no evidence of any surgery when I hit 2 months.
I posted a photo my my eyes at 1 month but really is 5 weeks. I had removed a couple freckles that were raised like moles so thats the 2 dots in the photo, but focus on my lower bags. The skin is taunt and healthy. Corners look good and I think the procedure looks natural.
As for the facility, its really nice and professional. The coordinator was quick to respond to emails and questions. I will go back. Some things I didn't like is you pay in front of a 1-way glass window. For how classy this facility is, that feels very cheesy - almost like at a pawn shop. I suppose its for security, but a robber is going to run past the downstairs receptionist, up the elevator to the 4th floor, past the next receptionist, through the door in a hall? It was just strange to me. Anyway, something to improve is Dr. Follow-up. Heard nothing. I did proactively email a couple photos and ask 1 question of the coordinator. But there was no dr. follow-up. In 2 weeks when I had my stiches removed, another doctor I don't know his name removed them. He clearly was in hurry, and ultimately missed one of the stiches which I removed myself a few days later. That issue and the no dr. follow-up are why I gave this experience 4 stars and not 5 but I don't want to want to discourage anyone, on both issues I could have escalated and just choose not to. Overall it was TOTALLY worth it, and Cosmed overall was great, the main doctor and coordinator, price, experience and most important the result. This specific procedure makes a dramatic difference.
