Chalazion removal left notch - my eyelid no longer closes completely

I wish I could leave a better review however my experience with this doctor has left me traumatized. I had a chalazion on my left eyelid, and scheduled to have it removed. He said he could complete this procedure without any noticeable scar so in my desperation to have it removed, I went ahead with the procedure. After a month I noticed that my eyelid started forming a puckered appearance, and later realized that it was a notch, that is extremely unappealing, and completely changes the shape of my eye. I went back to the doctor and he said there’s nothing he could do, he then said he was the best doctor in Toronto, and that there isn’t a doctor that will be able to help me, then as I was leaving he said “good luck” in a very condescending way. After getting this operation which was expressed to me as “minor” it has left a very serious impact on my eyelid appearance, and the function of my eye completely. Due to the notch, my eyelid no longer closes completely, as there is always a tiny space letting air in, so my left eye that I had surgery on 2 years ago is always red, and irritated. So not only has the shape changed completely after surgery, the health of my eye is also suffering due to it being constantly dry, causing me to rely on the use of eye drops everyday. Having this surgery was the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life and I highly recommend you DO NOT have this procedure. Instead, have an IPL treatment, which will naturally shrink the chalazion, without the risk of a scar, and encourages your body to heal itself! Please do not do this surgery!
