I had breast implants 12 years ago after weaning my daughter. Before having her I was a perky large 32B or small 32C. When I was breast feeding I was a 32D and had a love/hate relationship with my breasts. They were gorgeous but could get in the way of taking care of a baby and daily tasks. When I weaned her they deflated to empty flaps of skin that I could tuck into a A size bra. I decided to have a breast augmentation after my sister laughed at me and my sad boobs in a bikini one day. For my first implants I chose to go with 245cc, textured, teardrop shaped, silicon gel implants. They were placed over the muscle and recovery was a breeze. They served me well for the first 8 years but then I started to develop capsular contracture on my right side. At the time it started out slowly and I wasn't willing to have surgery again. But over the years that breast has become rock hard and painful. The pain is low but constant now and there are days where it gets much more painful. I've become so self conscious of it and embarrassed that I have finally decided to have the revision surgery.

Taking the capsule out will remove some tissue and I would like to go a little bigger so my surgeon and I have decided to shoot for 375 - 400cc, smooth, round, high profile, under the muscle implants. I'm very nervous about sizing. I'm more worried that they won't be big enough to make much of a difference than going too big. My PS said he won't go any bigger than 400cc on my frame and he would prefer the 375cc. I am pushing for the 400 though. I am excited to get this painful, rock hard boob out!

I don't have any before pics from my first surgery but I will post before and afters this time around. I think the shadowing in my before pics make it look worse than it does in reality.

Surgery done!

Surgery done! I'm still a little out of it but doing better now that the anesthesia wore off. My pain isn't bad at all and I'm being vert careful to follow all the directions my doctor gave me. I ended up with 400cc high profile over the muscle. I can't wait to see them. I think they will let me see them at my appointment tomorrow. If so, I will post pictures.

I'm waiting for the ace bandage to come off so I can get my first peek at the new boobs. Hopefully I can get the drains out also. The doctor said that my left capsul was normal and in good shape. The right one was a first for him. It appeared to be filled with old blood and a thick dark red capsul. He removed a tumor for me to be sent off to the lab. It looked like I had experienced blunt force trauma to that side but I don't remember any trauma? Looks like the drains will stay for a few more days.
