Dr. Vath is amazing he is confident in his abilities without being arrogant. Let me start off with the fact that I met with multiple surgeons over a long period of time trying to find the one who fit me best. I met him as my 2nd to last consult before I made my decision and set my surgery date, and after I looked at hundreds of pictures on his website showing proof of what he could do.
I am a weight loss patient who had a lot of excess skin and saggy breasts. During my consult, he was so honest and did not BS me at all. I asked about what is essentially a mommy make over, he said that is great, he said I did not need to spend extra money on implants as I will not be happy with them in a couple of years as they had a high likely hood of shifting and giving me snoopy breasts due to a lack of muscle to hold them in place. He said I had enough tissue for him to make them beautiful again. I also asked about removing the back fat that hung over my bra. He was the only surgeon who told me not to do liposuction as it would give me even more excess skin. That he could do an upper body lift and remove the fat and skin and that it would be along the same incision as my breast lift but going across my back as well. He said it would give me a smother look. He told me that liposuction only works so much but then it leaves excess skin behind and that is what I am trying not to have and why I came to him to begin with. He explained each procedure in length with me and my husband. He answered all of my million questions. He said he could do all 3 procedures in the same surgery session as I did not want multiple surgeries. He said I would be under for around 7 hours and I would most likely be his only surgery that day.
On the day of surgery he came in and did all of his markings on me, let me ask another million questions, reassured me I would be fine and just overall made it easy to go into surgery. On my 6 week post op, he gave me my before pics, showed me how amazing I look, said in his 20+ years that I am one of the best surgeries he has done. Even though I still see flaws, he pointed out that I look amazing, showed me my before pics while standing in front of a mirror. He told me that I need to remember that I am a 40 year old mother of 6 and that my body no longer looks like I have 6 kids. I may have some stretch marks still from all of those pregnancies and the fact that at one point and time I was 110 pounds heavier but I look so much better. I don't have that loose skin and belly that hung over jeans or needed to be tucked in. My breasts no longer hang to my belly button. They are now perky and pretty. I do not have this excess fat and skin on my back any longer. everything on the trunk of my body is now smooth and pretty.
His staff is also amazing. Keri his patient counselor was always reachable by text or email or by phone. She never left me hanging and answered all of my questions when I had them. She is personable and so easy to work with. His nursing and surgical staff is fun and up beat and full of answers when I was with them.
Overall, Dr. Vath and his staff made me feel comfortable with them. I was not nervous on the day of surgery and I was never nervous to take off my clothes in front of them. They did not look at me like I was ugly, they looked at me like a person who wanted to be comfortable in their own skin and they helped me make that happen. I would recommend him a million times over. I will never go anywhere else, as I am sure I will have surgery again for something else I want fixed.
