I'm going with Almonte too. I agree she is a standout for so many reasons. I feel safe with her. I've read a lot of reviews, and haven't heard one bad thing about her. I've heard plenty about the other surgeons. Good luck on your choice.

Thank you for your kind words. Even though I haven't had surgery yet I can say my interactions with Dr FG has been nothing less than fantastic! I've used what's app to contact him and he's always responded back to be quickly and with my best interest in mind. I'll definitely keep you posted

Did you have to get any lab work done before you go over there? Karel didn't mansion it in her email to me. I see people on here getting it done.

It doesn't hurt to see where you are - health wise. You need to have a hemo of 13 - if your low you can start taking the right supplements and eating the right foods to build it up. I did go to my PCP. I had a physical and full blood work done. I also had a mammogram since I'm having breast work done. I wanted to make sure that I was healthy enough for a MMO. It's a major surgery so it's important to do whatever you can to be as healthy as possible. My hemo was 12.9 without me taking any supplements - my goal is to be at 14 before I go to ensure I can have all 3 procedures. I also let my PCP know that I was considering having a MMO. Didn't tell her that it was gonna happen in the Dominican- but I figure I'll see her again 2 weeks before I leave to check my blood and hopefully she'll prescribe pain meds.

Ok. I should definitely go get my blood checked then. I know I have been anemic on and off. I have to admit, it scares me to hear all the blood transfusions given in the DR. You don't here of that here in the states. I wonder why???

Not sure. I think it maybe because of the aggressive lipo. Or maybe because of the combinations of the procedures

It's extremely important to choose a surgeon who makes you comfortable. Cosmetic surgery is nothing to take lightly. It's major surgery and you are putting your life in the doctor's hand. Tinden -Im glad you've made your choice to go with Almonte. Her work is very impressive. However she wasn't the right choice for me.
For me I wanted a doctor with impeccable credentials....someone who will put my safety first over their wallet.... A Dr who will be there after the sx is over. That's why I chose Dr Goico.
