Since I am going to buy the epi-foam, do I still need the abdominal board? Someone help me!!!

I got spooked when CIPLA shut down over the summer, but the surgery was still on my mind CONSTANTLY so once again, I've decided to get it done! I am aiming for a December 6, 2013 surgery date. I am still awaiting an email confirmation, or either I may just have to call the office. Yesterday I went to Dollar General and purchased all of the personal items I needed (Chux, wipes, disinfectant, etc.) and it only came to $53.00! I still need to get a few things from Amazon. PurAbsorb (iron supplement) was on sale for $9.99 at Walgreen's so I bought two boxes. Once I buy everything, I will post a complete list of everything.
Skeptical....
With the recent closure of CIPLA, I am now concerned about the sanitation practices in DR. I have been researching some doctors in the US. Has anyone heard anything about where the doctors are performing surgeries now?
