Since I started puberty, my breasts were always...
WORTH IT$7,500
Since I started puberty, my breasts were always asymmetrical. Doctors and my parents and friends convinced me they'd even out eventually, but never did. My breasts stopped growing by 17, being two whole cup sizes different in size. I stuffed my left cup from age 14 to 19, which is when I got my breast augmentation. I never wore swimsuits or tops without a bra. I was always nervous that my padding would pop out and I'd be exposed. My worst fear was having a guy see my uneven breats and think I'm disgusting, so I rarely hooked up with anyone, and when I did I tried to keep my bra on. I didn't feel confident in myself, and it really effected my sex life and self esteem in general. But it wasn't just about other people's view of me. I looked in the mirror and was horrified with my breasts. I would stay there and just cry. I just wanted to be comfortable in my skin. One doctor who saw my asymmetry at an appointment noticed how uncomfortable I was when he had to check my breasts and kindly recommended some surgeons. I brought the idea up to my parents and my father, who had gotten a procedure by Dr. Johnson done before, brought me to see him. From my first visit to my post-op, Dr. Johnson and his staff were very warm, friendly, and knowledgable. They were extremely thorough with everything and assured me I was in good hands. He was honest with everything he told me, so I knew exactly what the surgery was going to be like and what it was going to be like afterwards. No surprises, just facts. I wasn't even nervous before the surgery because I was so confident in him and his team. In order to make my breasts symmetrical, they put a small implant in my large breast, and a much larger one in my left breast. They made sure the perkiness and projection would be the same, and even made my right areola a bit smaller to match my left. They also did a slight lift on my right breast so it would match the perkier little one (yep, my breasts looked like they belonged to different people). I got the surgery in December of 2013 when I was 19, and I'm 20 now. I couldn't be happier with the results. They look perfect. Perfect size, shape, projection. Exactly what I wanted. Dr. Johnson has changed my life. My biggest insecurity that held me back so much doesn't exist anymore. I feel amazing. So liberated. I can wear whatever I want. I never worry about taking my clothes off or going swimming. I almost cried when I tried on my first swimsuit. My confidence has skyrocketed since my surgery. I look in the mirror and feel normal and beautiful. I know part of loving yourself is accepting your flaws, but fixing this one has changed my life. It was probably the best decision I ever made and I'm so happy that Dr. Johnson and his team could do that for me.
