I had 8 vials of Kybella injected today on my buffalo hump and bra area. I'm 49 years old, 5'2", 125 lbs, and working on gaining weight for a future bbl. The buffalo hump was something that always bothered me, and as I got older the hump became bigger. I had a consultation with Dr Dass for a bbl, and he suggested Kybella rather than lipo as he explained there wasn't enough fat to suction and he was concerned about the scar. I'm Latina with dark skin, therefore I develop keloid scars. As soon as I heard this from him, and went back home I contacted Vitahl Medical Spa in an area of Denver called Cherry Creek. This is where I get my facials, botox, etc, and scheduled an appointment with Rachel Ross (aka Syringe lady), who was very informative and helpful. She drinks the kool aid! She then scheduled my treatment appointment for today and had just done the treatment. It hurt!!! It was a deep burn that subsided after a half an hour. I was more happy to rid of my hump that I blocked the physical pain. I had brought with me 2 500 mgs of tylenol in preparation for the pain. It has been almost an hour an a half and the areas treated are still a little tender and sore, and on a scale of 0-10 is about a 2. Rachel and I agreed that my treatment would be an aggressive approach at killing the fat as I did not want to come back and have to do it again. A nice big punch is better than many small punches to my body. It is definitely more swollen now than before the treatment, and looks like I have gotten stung by bees. I will update as time progresses.
I would like to speed up time and see the final results. Rachel explained that I would begin to see final results by the 3 week. I have made an appointment at Vitahl for a follow up on February 28 and will post after pictures then. I can't wait!!!

Sorry about that. I also fear that my progress, however small, will come to a stop. My guess is that because we all have different biology, treatment will have a different result or not, on any individual.

I thought this was only approved by the FDA for the face only.

It is an off label treatment. It was recommended by a doctor

Day after treatment

Today I'm feeling lightly sore, and don't even notice the pain until I touch the treated areas. I thought about a massage, to help my body eliminate the dead fat cells, and I forgot to ask Rachel if this is advisable. I have researched on the internet and most professionals advise not to massage the area. I'm ok with that because my hump still hurts if I press hard enough.
I went to the gym this morning and had no trouble doing crossfit with focus on upper body such as overhead presses, bicep curls, push ups, one arm rows, you get the idea. I felt more muscle soreness from the exercises that I forgot I had been used as a pin cushion the day before.
The shots I took today were taken after my workout. I will update and upload more pictures in a week to compare progress.

Good luck. I hope this treatment works for you though you look very strong and in shape to begin with. It is my understanding that kybella can only be used under chin, unless use has changed? I don't find any research on treatment for other areas of the body so I am interested in your results. How did you find a doc to inject for off label use? Thank you. Prayers for a great outcome!

Thank you! I'm not really sure about off label use. I had originally been seen by Dr Dass in Beverly Hills and that was his suggested approach to my issue. I never asked anywhere else in Denver if any doctor or clinic had used it in other areas, but it's worth asking if I were looking for a professional. Vitahl is the only medical spa I've ever gone to in Denver, and had been satisfied with their level of care and treatments, and so I felt comfortable undergoing this treatment with them.

It’s definitely off the label and not approved except for the chin. Be curious how your results turn out. Fat is different in different areas and doesn’t respond the same to all types of treatments. For the price you paid I would have dont lipo but I understand you didn’t want the scar. Let us know if these areas respond well to it!

These fotos were taken this morning after my workout. I am less swollen than the day after treatmentand see a little difference. Patience is my only friend. I also feel a tiny bit of pain when I push the area with my hand. So far I’m happy with what I’m seeing. Slow but steady progress!
