Vitahl is my go to for Botox and all lasers! I have been doing PicoGenesis to help with pigment and my skin has never looked better. The office is clean and all the staff are friendly. Love it, I always recommend my friends and family to come here.
I had 8 vials of Kybella injected today on my buffalo hump and bra area. I'm 49 years old, 5'2", 125 lbs, and working on gaining weight for a future bbl. The buffalo hump was something that always bothered me, and as I got older the hump became bigger. I had a consultation with Dr Dass for a bbl, and he suggested Kybella rather than lipo as he explained there wasn't enough fat to suction and he was concerned about the scar. I'm Latina with dark skin, therefore I develop keloid scars. As soon as I heard this from him, and went back home I contacted Vitahl Medical Spa in an area of Denver called Cherry Creek. This is where I get my facials, botox, etc, and scheduled an appointment with Rachel Ross (aka Syringe lady), who was very informative and helpful. She drinks the kool aid! She then scheduled my treatment appointment for today and had just done the treatment. It hurt!!! It was a deep burn that subsided after a half an hour. I was more happy to rid of my hump that I blocked the physical pain. I had brought with me 2 500 mgs of tylenol in preparation for the pain. It has been almost an hour an a half and the areas treated are still a little tender and sore, and on a scale of 0-10 is about a 2. Rachel and I agreed that my treatment would be an aggressive approach at killing the fat as I did not want to come back and have to do it again. A nice big punch is better than many small punches to my body. It is definitely more swollen now than before the treatment, and looks like I have gotten stung by bees. I will update as time progresses. I would like to speed up time and see the final results. Rachel explained that I would begin to see final results by the 3 week. I have made an appointment at Vitahl for a follow up on February 28 and will post after pictures then. I can't wait!!! Updated on 31 Jan 2018: Today I'm feeling lightly sore, and don't even notice the pain until I touch the treated areas. I thought about a massage, to help my body eliminate the dead fat cells, and I forgot to ask Rachel if this is advisable. I have researched on the internet and most professionals advise not to massage the area. I'm ok with that because my hump still hurts if I press hard enough. I went to the gym this morning and had no trouble doing crossfit with focus on upper body such as overhead presses, bicep curls, push ups, one arm rows, you get the idea. I felt more muscle soreness from the exercises that I forgot I had been used as a pin cushion the day before. The shots I took today were taken after my workout. I will update and upload more pictures in a week to compare progress. Updated on 6 Feb 2018: These fotos were taken this morning after my workout. I am less swollen than the day after treatmentand see a little difference. Patience is my only friend. I also feel a tiny bit of pain when I push the area with my hand. So far I’m happy with what I’m seeing. Slow but steady progress! Updated on 20 Feb 2018: Today marks week 3 since I had the Kybella treatment, and I can already feel the difference. I am aware that I will continue to see changes later, and this is not the final result however I am already happy with the progress I'm seeing. When I touch my hump I can actually feel the bone underneath whereas before the layer of fat was so dense and thick I was not able to feel the bone! As for the bra fat it is also getting better although it is difficult to determine the change without the before picture. Check it out! Updated on 2 May 2018: Today marks almost 4 weeks (This coming Friday). Hump is still swollen. I know I must be patient and won't see final result until week 6. I can't wait! Updated on 15 May 2018: it has been a few days past 5 weeks and I'm continuing to see the swelling go down. I hope it continues!!! Updated on 18 May 2018: The swelling keeps going down though in my eyes is still prominent. Updated on 24 May 2018: I saw Dr Dass on Monday for my 6 week post op. He was quite pleased with the Kybela treatment result and recommended one last go at it. Since I’m still in recovery from my bbl I told him I’d like to wait until our next appointment in October. Dass said that at 6 weeks there will be no additional progress. So this is it. I do see a decrease in size but it is still very much there. What a stubborn lump of fat!!! I wish the fat that was relocated to my ass is just as stubborn and holds on strongly on my ass.
I had the Miradry procedure in June of 2015 for my first treatment and end of September for my second treatment. The procedure was pretty easy; after the first couple of shots the vaccines did not hurt anymore. The only true hurtful time was after the procedure were there was a lot of swelling. I swelled a lot after my first treatment and remained sweatless for about 1 month. Once the swelling went down the sweating came back. I was hopeful that by the second treatment the sweating will go away. My second treatment was not as painful and the swelling only took about 2 weeks for it to heal. I again did not sweat for the first month, but after that I started sweating again in one arm. My left underarm is now sweat free, but my right underarm still sweats the same amount as before the procedure which is very disappointing. Both of the times the treatments were done at the maximum level. I also do have periods of sharp pain every once in a while that lasts for about 5-10 seconds and goes away. I was very excited about becoming sweatfree or at least sweat at a "normal" level and I'm glad that it at least worked in one underarm, but for the price paid I was hoping for better results.
4 weeks post back of both arms remain numb, large lumps under both arms, sweating returned once major swelling subsided, odor has now returned also so angry about not getting information from provider about body composition (thin/athletic) having adverse effect on nerve damage. not doing cycle 2 fearful of more nerve damage. Updated on 31 Aug 2020: Painful both arms from shoulder to elbow numb for a good number of weeks right arm still numb 6 months later and painful still sweating as always once the swelling subsided after 3-4 weeks not worth it. awful experience
