This is long overdue! I want to advise anyone who is nervously searching on RealSelf.com before risking time, money and quality of life: Chose Dr. Mario Imola as your surgeon because he is the best one you’ll find. I have had TWO previous surgeries on my nose before being blessed enough to find the most amazing surgeon I have ever met. No one has been even close to success as Dr. Imola has. I had shopped around 10 surgeons, who refused to work on my nose because it was so botched. What made my experience so overall excellent? 1.) The staff is amazing. You will feel comfortable and safe from the moment you arrive until the moment you say goodbye. Lisa called me to check on my progress on her personal phone, answered me during the weekends and always accommodated me when I flew in from Los Angeles, California. She even double booked Dr. Imola just for me, in consideration of my flight time. Mallory was so kind and helpful, she gave me tips on my stay in Colorado and was very encouraging. - Out of state tip: There are many incredible Airbnb’s in Colorado and Uber is always available so that didn’t add stress to my experience. 2.) Dr. Imola is trustworthy. He loves a challenge. He did not turn his back on my nose even though other surgeons have. My first visit was 5 hours long! Dr. Imola took the time to talk me through the entire process. I had some hard questions, which intimated previous surgeon prospects but Dr. Imola answered every single one with ease and detail. Dr. Imola is professional yet compassionate. The other surgeons were afraid of bad reviews, considering my nose would not turn out the way we wanted it. Dr. Imola was realistic about the results he aspired for my nose and my nose came out looking better than what I ever expected. He even accommodated me months prior to my surgery to give me steroid shots for scar tissue growth. Some thick skin types will formulate scar tissue, regardless of the surgeon’s ability. Dr. Imola could have told me that his job was done with me but instead I flew in every month for 3 months to get the injections, which helped my overall results. - Post-surgery tip: When they took the cast off, my nose did not look like the final result. Dr. Imola and Lisa told me to trust that the swelling would go down. I am so glad I trusted them in the end. My nose looks AMAZING today! It’s truly the nose I have always dreamed of! Please don’t be impatient! Wait until you’re done swelling for the final results, which for me was 4 months after the big reveal. 3.) The price was right. Most cosmetic surgeons do not use insurance. Due to the fact, that Dr. Imola is also a reconstructive surgeon his office uses insurance. This helped me with half of the cost of my surgery because he performed my third septoplasty, saving me so much money! Also, his prices are extremely inexpensive compared to the prices of surgery in most states. Let me give you a little background on the condition of my nose so that you can compare it with yours: 1.) 1st Surgery: A car accident at 4 years old left me unable to breathe and with a chronic bloody nose issue throughout my entire childhood. At 15 years old, I had a septoplasty. My nose also grew very crooked. 2.) 2nd Surgery: Three years later, I stopped being able to breathe AGAIN and the crookedness of my nose became extremely aesthetically unpleasant. At age 18, I decided to get a rhinoplasty and a second septoplasty. My nose healed horribly botched and only got worst throughout the years. My nose developed into a droopy ‘squidward’ nose, crooked tip with a bump on my bridge completely made up of scar tissue and it was totally unsymmetrical from every angle and side. 3.) 3rd Surgery: The recovery was not painful at all. I was given so many natural alternatives to medicine that helped with bruising and swelling compared to my last surgery. My nose was still swollen when the cast came off. It took 4 month for the swelling to go down and for my breathing to improve. Today, the result of my nose is incredible, it looks small and doll-like. I am also able to breathe better. In conclusion, basing my decision on the surgical procedure was the most important factor. Dr. Imola truly performed an exceedingly outstanding job. Added onto that, my experience went beyond surgery. The staff was wonderful, the trip and location was easy and the follow-up lasted until I was completely healed. Dr. Imola is anointed from the Lord to be a surgeon. You will not meet many people who have such a natural ability. God has blessed the hands of this man!
